THIRD POV

After Rei placed Miri on her bed, he left the room and saw Kazuki who was waiting for him in the living room.

Kazuki tried to speak to rei but the male ignored him and just went back to their bedroom.

Ever since the blonde proposed to him, rei has been sleeping in Kazuki's room which made their bond even stronger.

A few minutes later rei heard footsteps headed to the bedroom. The door opened and he felt the bed sink by a figure.

It was silent for a few minutes until the blonde spoke up, "rei... Is something the matter? You've been ignoring me and my calls since earlier. You know how I feel about you keeping your feelings to yourself."

It was silent again and Kazuki couldn't take it anymore. "Rei-"

"That woman. Who was that?" rei cut him off, his back facing the blonde. He didn't wanna see his husbands face for now. Clearly still upset.

Kazuki gulped. 'Wait so he did see that? But.. How..?' he thought. Until he remembered that the two were not home when he went back to their place. ' They must've went out earlier while I was gone.'

Kazuki decided to set the questions aside for now and just tell rei the truth. "She's part of the mission. We met up in a restaurant because I needed more information since kyutaro told me about it last minute and-"

"Then why did she kiss you?" rei cut him off again.

Kazuki widened his eyes, as he didn't know where to start. I mean c'mon, your lover witnessed you kissing someone else, how would you explain that as not cheating? To make them believe you aren't?

"look rei, it's not what it looks like I swear-" Kazuki knew that an upset rei was probably the worst type of rei he could ever deal with. He hated serious arguments like these because dealing with an upset rei was never an easy thing.

"Then are you telling me what I saw at the restaurant was just my imagination?" Rei angrily said as he sat up, his voice slightly trembling, as he finally met kazuki's worried face.

Kazuki was surprised to see rei who looks like he was about to cry. He never thought that he would usually care that much for something like this and neither did rei.

Rei still hated it when his emotions took over him and they would see how 'weak' he looks like. But Kazuki knew better. He didn't mind it when rei showed his true feelings to him.

"Rei I swear it's a misunderstanding, she kissed me out of nowhere but I pushed her off and told her that I'm married to you." Kazuki looked at him as he grabs rei's hand that was shaking, wiping off the small tears that were appearing in the latter's eyes.

Rei knew that he was telling the truth. He always was. Kazuki couldn't bring himself to lie to his husband.

The eyes, they never lie. (How I felt after writing that: 🥶🥶🙏🔥🔥🤗💀😁🥺😆😆😆)

"I never wanted to cheat on you and never will. You know that I love you more than anything. Every day I wake up and I think to myself that I'm so lucky that you're here by my side, knowing that nothing compares to you being here with me every minute, every second, every time. I'm so in love with you that I don't even know what to do without you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I still can't believe that you're mine. It hurts me because the fact that you think I would cheat on you, when I only have eyes for you. I love you. I love you Rei."
