[ 1: The Expedition ]

'Great.' 

You thought, completely ready to throw that green, annoying bard of the edge from this giant, cold mountain.

~A few days ago~

"Hey Y/n! We have a important information for you!"

"Hello Aether, hello Paimon! How may I help the honorary knight and the best travel companion?" 

You said smiling at them, wondering why they're even in Mondstadt 

"I thought you were heading to Inazuma?" 

"Yes, yes, we were going to, until Jean told us she would need us for a really important quest and only a selected group of people are capable of, including us, also our trip to Inazuma is in about 1.5 months. The captain of the crux in Liyue will take us with them." the blond guy said before he went silent.

"And you are going to come with us! On the quest Paimon means. But if you want, the traveler could ask if you can come with us to Inazuma." The little pixi said bubbling up from excitement.

You were surprised and didn't know how to react in this moment.

"But would you mind bringing me to Jean first, I have to talk to her anyways since she called me yesterday because of some quest I'm supposed to participate in, so I don't know if I'm able to come with you guys on that quest. And also you know, how about you would tell me about that quest first before taking me with you?" 

"Sure, Paimon will explain it to you!"

"Why would Jean give you two quests tho, if you wouldn't have the time to do them?" 

Aether thought out loud, but loud enough for you to hear.

"I don't know, but the bigger question is why she would pick me for this. I have a hydro vision sure, but my healing isn't that great and I can't help a lot in combat."

"Y/n.. Your healing is good, don't worry." 

"Thank you Aether." 

You smiled at each other. You can't help but feel like he's some kind of a older brother to you, a brother you never even had in the first place. You're really glad to have him as a good friend.

"Ahem, so Paimon thought she should explain everything?" She said, obviously annoyed, as you guys were walking towards the Favonius headquarter. 

"Oh, I'm sorry Paimon, please tell me."

"Hmpf, listen closely, Paimon will only explain it once. All Paimon knows, is, that we're supposed to meet up with Albedo and Sucrose at 9 am tomorrow at the alchemist table, he would tell us everything else. Also, the quest will take about a month or so."

"I see. Thank you Paimon and Aether, for bringing me this message." 

"No need to thank!" Both of them said at the same time, smiling at you.

~At the headquarter~

The guards let you pass the entrance and you walked into the huge building. You reached Jean's office.

-knock knock knock-

"Come in~" a voice came from the inside. 

You opened the door and saw Jean and Lisa in the room.

The tall, blond woman with the name of Jean sat at her desk making her way through the paperwork. On the other side of the room the other woman covered in purple clothes, brown hair and a tall figure who responds of the name of Lisa, stood at the big bookshelf and read a book.

"Oh Aether and Paimon and Y/n, what a perfect timing, I'm doing the paperwork of your new quest right now." A deep breath from the other side of the office appeared. 

"Jean, how many times did I told you not to pull up all-nighters ?" The purple dressed woman said in a gentle tone.

"Lisa, not everybody can electrocute people to punish them, because of overdue books and call it their job." She said in a tired and small voice.

To remind them you're still here, Aether caught and got their attention.

"So anyway, this one has some questions for you Master Jean."

She looked at you and awaited your questions.

"These two told me of a month long quest I'm supposed to be participating in. But didn't you tell me, I have another quest yesterday, Master Jean?"

"Oh cutie, this one was taken upon myself. It wasn't that important as this one.~" The librarian said in a soft tone.

"Y/n, this quest is incredibly important. Albedo will tell you everything tomorrow, but I am sure these two already told you that. Don't worry about the rest of the work, Lisa will help us out in the meantime. Also, you guys won't go alone on this quest." Jean replied.

"Huh you haven't told Paimon someone will go with us? Who ?"

"Albedo told us about Sucrose and him, but didn't tell us who the last one would be but it seemed like Y/n knows them~." Lisa answered the white fairy question, but to you she sounded a little bit teasing, why would she tease you? 

"We'll see tomorrow and honestly I have no idea, who it could be." You said, while questioning yourself who this mysterious person might be.

"Exactly sweetie~ oh, and you guys should pack your stuff today, just saying~" The librarian said.

You guys said goodbye to each other and you went towards your home.

'Who could it be? Amber, Noelle, Klee ? Hopefully not Kaeya, I couldn't take a whole month with that annoying knight. Klee knows Albedo, he's some kind of older brother for her. I'll see tomorrow, but for now I should pack all my stuff and go to bed early.' 

You covered yourself with the blanket and dreamed about the things, that could happen tomorrow.
