(Ok for real, maybe a tinyyy little bit of sadness, yes I have to put this here. Probably not sad at all but to keep you guys safe. Like if you are extremely sensitive to anything right now, at the end there is something to hopefully cheer you up~)

After you told them to please change the subject to something else than your past unablility to use a simple lighter, the group got to the topic of your next moves.

"So, how are we going to explain to Jean what happened? And also, the abyss failed their plan to use Durins' corrupted energy. Does that mean they took back all the forces of their members?"
"We are going to tell her the most important parts. There is no need to tell her certain details. As for the other part, we will get to know it once we have arrived in the actual area around Mondstadt."
"What do you consider as 'important' ?"
"All this was the abyss's doing and that it has to do with an ancient dragon. Nothing more or less."
"Wow. After all that we had gone through, this is the only thing that we learned?"

"Paimon, it is still valuable information, and most importantly, we proved it. And if their plan actually failed, they most likely were to remove the monsters stationed around Mondstadt."
Sucrose looked at the fairy flying in front of the group and answered her.
"Why?"
"Think about it. Why should they put them there in the first place ? Obviously, it keeps everything under control and holding citizens away from the mountain. The thing is, we didn't meet any because of the route we used."
"Paimon, do you want to tell Jean about the fact that Aethers sister is responsible for the abyss, that our artist over here almost ended her live multiple, she and I switched bodies and that the chief alchemist is a homunculus that is connected to this particular ancient dragon ?"
"If you put it that way, no."

"Guys, look!"
"What is it, Y/n ?"
"Over there!"
They all looked to the direction you suddenly pointed at to find a single hydro smile sitting all by itself.
It looked kinda sad and even friendly.
"It's just a harmless slime. Don't tell me you're afraid of it."
"No, no, that's not what I meant, Paimon. I just thought it looked so cute and lonely."
"It does seem lonely. Maybe it is searching for its friends."
"Anyways, be careful. Maybe there are more nearby."

You slowly walked up to the small and gibberish creature infrint of you. It turned around and shocked itself. You tried to calm it down, but it didn't work. For some reason, you hoped some water bubbles would help to calm it.
It did.
The waterbubbles flowing in the air around it and popping at a point brought it some joy. It was harmless, and it wasn't really scared of you. It was just startled of your sudden appearance behind it.
Definitely not unnoticed by you were two boys, one with a sword and the other with a bow being ready to attack the innocent slime whenever they had to. But you didn't care.

Kneeling besides the wet creature, you smiled at it and wanted to pick it up.
At this point, I would assume you have a soft spot for small and cute creatures who mostly can't talk.
The slime was in panic, but too scared of the large group of people surrounding it, it already had lost its friends or maybe family as it seemed like.
You gently carried it in your arms and wanted to protect it with your life even though you just met it. But this slime didn't even dare to attack you. It already had lost its hope. Who knows how long it had been alone. Maybe deep in its heart, it cherished the new company? Or maybe this is just an excuse to write about a cute, little slime.
