Hey! This is the first part of my story. Kinda short and I am sorry for this. I don't really know how to how to put the story into chapters. I hope you at least like it and enjoy it.
Another sorry for the name David, I couldn't come up with an original name so I took Damiano's last name because it sounds good ;)

It was a pleasant summer Friday in Rome as I began my shift at the cozy café I had been working at for less than a week. I busied myself with preparing the tables for potential customers, but unfortunately, the day seemed to be dragging on without many visitors. However, my spirits lifted when a young man with dark, luscious locks and his child strolled in and took a seat. As I approached their table, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the man's striking features.

"Good afternoon, may I take your order?" I inquired, my eyes darting from the man to his child.

"Hi there! Can I have a hot chocolate?" the child asked sweetly.

"Of course, and for you sir?" I addressed the man.

"An espresso, please," he replied, his voice low and smooth.

"Very well. Is there anything else I can get for you?" I asked, attempting to mask my fascination with the handsome stranger.

"No, that will be all for now," the man responded, looking directly into my eyes.

As I prepared their drinks, I couldn't help but steal glances at the man. However, my hopes for any potential romantic connection quickly dissipated when I noticed his child with him. Nonetheless, I served them their beverages with a smile and introduced myself.

"Thank you," the child said, struggling to read my name tag.

"Y/n" I replied, beaming at the little one.

"Thank you, Y/n" the child repeated, earning a chuckle from me.

"Thank you," the man said, his voice deep and commanding.

"It's my pleasure," I responded, smiling once more before heading back to clean.

Just as I began to tidy up, I heard a child's voice behind me.

"Excuse me, Y/n?" the boy asked.

"Yes, what can I do for you?" I knelt down to his level.

"Can I have your phone number? My uncle thinks you're beautiful, but he's too shy to ask you himself," the boy explained, his eyes shining with innocence.

"Of course, sweetie," I replied, grabbing a pen and sticky note. "Here you go."

"Thank you! Maybe you'll be my auntie someday and make me more hot chocolate," he exclaimed, hugging me.

"I'd love that, sweetheart," I responded, hugging him back.

"I think I have to go now. My uncle will freak out," the boy said, reluctantly letting go.

"Would you like me to take you to him?" I offered.

"Yes, please!" the boy exclaimed, hopping on my back in a split second.

I made my way over to their table, with the boy giggling on my back.

"Ethan, look!" the boy said, as I arrived.

"Oh my God, David, come here!" Ethan exclaimed, taking David off my back. "I'm sorry for this," he apologized.

"No need to apologize, he's an adorable child," I reassured him, smiling at David.

"He is," Ethan agreed, smiling fondly at his nephew. "How much for the espresso and hot chocolate?" he asked, pulling out his wallet.

"It's on the house," I replied with a smile.

"Are you sure? I don't think your manager would be too happy about this," Ethan said, looking worried.

"I've never done this before, but if he gets mad, I'll handle it," I replied confidently.

"I hope I'll see you soon, Y/n," David said, giving me one last hug.

"Me too, kid," I replied, waving them goodbye as they left the café.

As my shift came to a close, I made my way to my small apartment that I was renting.
