Its been weeks since Ground Zero, has been on the news. Some think that he was caught by the heroes, others that something far worse was gonna happen. But, Gwen... aka Ghost Spider, has been looking for clues on who Ground Zero Could be, endlessly desperately trying to find something that would lead her to someone who wasn't her childhood friend.
Gwen: Still nothing! It.... It couldn't be Alex! Could it?
The female questions.
Gwen: I mean Alex is human! He's not a mutant, nor a terrorist!
She reasons with herself.
Gwen: He wants to help people! He wanted to be like Ghost Spider, and Ironman! He's not full of hate like Ground Zero!
She continues to reason with herself, so far she was doing a decent job at convincing herself that Ground Zero and her friend couldn't be one in the same. She still had her doubts though, so she decided to call him.
Gwen: Come on Alex pick up.
She said. The male answered surprising Gwen, in a positive way.
Alex: I'm pretty sure I told you, that we're not friends! So why the fuck are you calling me!
The male yelled through the phone. Gwen flinched.
Gwen: Alex, I know I haven't been a great friend in the past two years to you b-
Alex: We are not friends, Gwen! YOU LEFT ME BEHIND!
That line... You left me behind. Gwen doesn't want to believe it.
Gwen: I didn't leave you behind Alex! Just because I joined a band, that was popular, stopped talking to you, and haven't been involved with your life doesn't mean I left you behind!
She argued, she cringed at what she just said. She could feel Alex's anger, build up so she tried to defuse the situation.
Gwen: Alex I'm sorry I didn't m-
Alex: NO YOU'RE FUCKING NOT! GWEN YOU ALWAYS DO THIS! YOU ALWAYS FUCKING GASLIGHT ME! EVEN WHEN WE USED TO BE BEST FRIENDS, YOU'D GASLIGHT ME AND MY PROBLEMS! LIKE WHEN I CONFRONTED YOU ABOUT MY FATHER LEAVING ME YOU GASLIGHTED ME! THEN GOING ON ABOUT A NEW BAND THAT YOU WERE INTO!
He started.
Gwen: Alex-
Alex: SHUT THE FUCK UP GWEN! MOST RECENTLY A FEW MONTHS AGO I NEEDED YOU, I WAS GOING THROUGH SOME REALLY ROUGH SHIT!
Gwen feeling bad just decided to let him vent, so she stayed quiet.
Alex: I HAD FUCKING EXPLOSIONS COMING OUT OF MY HANDS! NO ONE BELIEVED ME AND I NEEDED SOMEONE TO JUST HELP ME BUT NO ONE WOULD! YOU WERE MY LAST HOPE BUT NO YOU FROZE ME OUT! FUCK I CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO GET WHAT YOU DESERVE! WATCH YOUR FUCKING BACK GWEN IM COMING FOR YOU!
