Heeseung POV
I walked up to the starting line staring at all the competitors. All of them were the average competitors from last year. Except for one of them.
'A brand new face? How lovely.'
I emptied my thoughts and started to skate as fast as I could for my 800m making sure to stay on the inside lane. That's when I noticed the new kid closing in on me very close. I sped up again as I finished my first lap.
'Wow impressive but not good enough.'
I chuckled as I started to sprint on the ice for the final 200m finishing first place with a new record and a guaranteed place in the finals. I watched as the new kid sighed and immediately skated off the rink. Looking around I realised Sunghoon wasn't present but I didn't really care. Still a wave of sadness still hit me, unsure why I just took off my skates and sat outside the cold arena for a bit. I smiled while breathing heavily, my chest heaving up and down.I felt someone staring at me from the side of my head and turned instinctively. To my surprise, it was the thin and graceful figure skater. He looked at me and I stared back into the abyss of black in his eyes. Soon enough the boy looked away, his face flushing a bright red before he entered the bathroom.
While getting up I was going to grab my water bottle and leave. I had enough of this event anyway and I just wanted to get home. But something caught my attention. It was the new boy entering the bathroom where Sunghoon was. Where Sunghoon was alone. Sunghoon and him. Alone. For some reason I felt my blood start to heat up. But I kept my calm composure and decided to walk in as well.
I opened the door and saw the new kid and Sunghoon talking. Sunghoon's face was drenched. The drops of water slowly falling down to the sides of his face and down his jawline. Each time he smiled or laughed the drops falling down his face even faster. I walked towards Sunghoon reluctantly and put my hand around his waist pulling him closer.
Sunghoon POV
I watched as the unfamiliar figure entered the bathroom. We talked for a little bit as he complimented me and told me his name.
"What's your name? You seem lovely."
"Oh my name is Taehyun and I watched your amazing performance earlier... Sunghoon right?"
Taehyun asked as he nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yes I am, It's nice to meet you Taehyun!"
"Your very gorgeous could I maybe have your numb-"
Suddenly I felt a hand wrap around my waist. I looked up only to see the one and only.'HEESEUNG?!'
...
Third person POV
"Hello new kid and Sunghoon! You guys seem to be having a lot of fun..."Heeseung interrupted, gripping Sunghoon's waist a little tighter.
"Heeseung shit loosen your grip a little.."
Sunghoon whispered to Heeseung and to his surprise Heeseung actually loosened his grip.
"Oh uhm... You're the guy who came first right? In the 800m, impressive I must say."
"Yes I am, Heeseung, wonderful to meet you... and you are?"
"I am Taehyun. I have just moved to Seoul!"
"Wow! So you're new right? Where did you move from?"Sunghoon asked, his eyes glistening at the realisation that the student is new.
"Oh I came from the states! Are you interested?"
"Yes of course I a-"Heeseung's grip tightened again. Sunghoon winced quietly.
Sunghoon POV
'What the fuck is it with this guy and his strong ass grip!?'Third person POV
"Hey Sunghoon, could you get my water bottle for me?"
Heeseung politely asked, smiling at Sunghoon.
"What, why? I don't even kno-"
"It's fine, just wait outside please."
"Why would I listen to you?"Sunghoon winced again when Heeseung pulled him by his waist, escorting him outside the bathroom.
Heeseung POV
"Who the fuck are you?"
"Kang Taehyun of course. Who are you?"The platinum blond asked, laughing lightly with a tone of evil intention laced between each forced laugh that left his mouth.
"What do you want with Sunghoon anyway, just leave him alone."
"What is he, your stupid boyfriend? I must say for such a pretty and talented figure skater I trust he could definitely pull better than you: a high schooler that is failing all his classes and has no friends but oh- Wait! He can't be your boyfriend because... you're a homophobe right?"I stood there clenching my fists. I didn't know what to say back to him.
"Cat got your tongue?"
"Just shut up. I'm not a homophobe, it's just a stupid rumour I played along too since nobody believes me when I tell them what happened."
"Pathetic. I honestly thought the almighty Lee Heeseung would actually have an impressive story to bite back but this is honestly shit."Taehyun sighed and took the recorder out of his pocket, passing it to Heeseung but before he could leave he wanted to make one last comment.
"By the way Heeseung tell Sunghoon I thank him for being the bai-"
Sunghoon POV
I heard it all. The whole conversation. I was so pissed. As soon as I heard the door click open and I saw Taehyun about to walk out before he started talking I punched him in the jaw."-t. Thanks for being the bait."
Taehyun turned to me, staring me up and down while I was glaring straight into his eyes, that only seemed to look at my body.
"Such a waste, such a pretty thing is going to waste. Would you want to exchange numbers?"
I laughed at him as he looked at me confused.
"Sorry I'm not allowed to do fan service."
Taehyun hissed and clenched his jaw as he left, still holding onto the bruised area. As Taehyun left I looked at Heeseung clenching his fists staring at the floor as he was about to walk out the now empty bathroom.
"Heeseung are you oka-"
"Yes, whatever, I'm fine. It's not like you even care anyway. Tch..."
