The Cāti'suttā.
These are the ones whose culture was eroded by the waves of tragedy and spite, to such an extent, that to this day, they are detested by those other people with which they share a great many connections and that should be considered if not siblings at least kin, and instead nothing but hate and violence connects them.
Physically, the Cati'sutta are quite heterogeneous, given how they are to be found in many places and intermingled with as many cultures it's quite understandable; the few generalized characteristics of these people are still reminiscent of their ancestors, unlike some other Cati people, their necks, for example, retain the thickness and density of musculature, but it has grown slightly longer and more flexible, allowing a much greater range of movements, both vertical and in turning;
the lower jaws seem to have remained in a comparable state to their ancestors' if maybe by my personal experience slightly more angular, but it might just be the ones that I have met;
the greater difference is to be found in the upper part of the face, they seem to lack the clear upper eyelids, sunlike eyes, and inward brow, these features are instead replaced by a third clear eyelid, that closes almost diagonally, the warm yellow eyes are now darker, between a maroon and black, and decisively more round, but the most worrisome change seems to have happened to the normal eye rotation, as they seem to have lost the ability to move their eyes independently from the head and at the same time seem to have instead gained marvelous eyesight in both light and dark;
the ears have also grown larger and with the ability to move independently as their eyes once did, and their skin also has seemly changed its pattern from shark skin to individual patterns that can be tweaked to the person's pleasure using a peculiar method of scarification.
The Cāti'suttā's cultural divergence from the Proto-Cāti was first instated during the crepuscule of the 'Sholamon';
This was a period in the infancy of Xuerco's history where a direct line of hegemons upheld a centralized dominion over the previously communal settlements and primitive social hierarchy of those lands.
This blasted line of tyrants was heralded by the eponymous 'Shola', the first of such tormentative beasts, after which all subsequent hegemons claimed that name as an epithet, which in retrospection is quite hilarious because today such word is used as a grave insult in Xuerco, usually aimed at figures of authority.
To give a bit of introspection, the term 'Shola Hegemons' or 'Sholamon' refers not only to the actual hegemons but also to the centralized power structure that they operated and represented, and to the period in which they held power, it should also be mentioned that they were not the first centralized power in their natal region nor the strongest (at least in their infancy), but they were the most effective, and therefore the 'most-successful power';
But even in that, the first 'Shola Hegemon', the eponymous 'Sholā' or more archaically known as 'Jolā' to avoid confusion, came to power by seizing positions of power from an already existing political structure, for Sholā was a bureaucrat;
Sholā seethed and brooded over several years, maniacally nudging and crafting the exact political ambiance and crisis to become the only viable option for a ruler, to then subsequentially obliterate whatever record or proof, that they could find, that previous rulers existed.
The reign of Sholā was completely and utterly devoted to setting the scene for the Sholā Coven to rule future generations with a disgustingly efficient iron first.
One can say a lot of things about Sholā.
They were arbitrary, manipulatory, and callous but they were patient.
