"All right, hold up, hold up." Jack said as they reached the street the hotel sat on. Taylor and Jack leaned over the stack of sand to look up at the grand building that was under construction. "Okay. Okay, Yuri, listen to me, all right? We're almost done, all right? Soon as we get that key, we're going to grab the file, get you and your daughter out of Russia, all right?" Jack told the older man. "All right." Yuri replied as he rested against the large yellow truck. Taylor rested on the bags of sand, catching her breath, her head leaning on her clasped hands until Jack placed his hand on the small of her back. "Are you okay?" He asked the blonde, receiving a nod in reply. Jack turned back to the Russian man and said, "All right listen to me. You're doing good. All right? I need you to hang here a second. Keep an eye on him, John." Jack told his father as he walked past him. "What about Taylor?" John asked. "She'll keep an eye on you both." Jack stated before walking away. "Hey, hey. What is it with all this 'John' shit? Whatever happened to 'dad'?" John asked his son as he went to walk around the truck. "Good question." Jack said before walking away from the man. Taylor turned to the two older men and watched them silently as they spoke to each other. "In Russia, we have word for men like him. Krutoy. It means 'tough, hard.'" Komarov told the older McClane. "In America, it means 'Juvenile delinquent.'" John stated, making Taylor snort out a laugh. "Is he your only child?" Yuri asked the man. "No. I got a daughter, too. You?" John replied with a sigh. "I have only my solnychka. When she was little, I was working all the time. I believed work was all that mattered." Komarov told him. "I screwed my kid's life up, too. You work all the time, around the clock, most of the time when you're a cop. I just thought that working all the time was... a good, a good thing, you know? I didn't help him at all." John told the man, glancing at Taylor as he said it. "It's never too late. I hope." Yuri told the older McClane. "He's right, John." Taylor stated as she watched the man. Jack came around the side of the truck and said, "Okay, let's go." As he moved to grab the bag resting at Taylor's feet. Taylor followed after him silently, knowing he heard the last part of the conversation between the Russian and his father. "Come on." John said as he let Komarov walk past him. They walked around the building until they reached the alleyway the service entrance was located. They all crouched behind the dumpsters and watched the kitchen staff unload bags out of the loading doors. "All right, Yuri, which part of the building is the ballroom in?" Jack asked as he glanced between the service entrance and the Russian. "Main tower." Yuri told the couple. "Main tower, which floor?" Taylor asked. "Top floor." Yuri stated. "Top floor. What about security? You remember any guards, cameras, anything like that?" Jack asked the man. "I don't know." Yuri told them. "Well, I-I... I need you to remember." Jack told the man, stuttering slightly. "I was in prison for five years. How should I know? Everything could have changed." Yuri growled out. "Okay, I know. Just think, all right? Picture it in your head." Jack told him as Taylor furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she noticed that John was missing from their group. "The ballroom was closed in '89. I think it's under construction now." Yuri said. "So that floor's unsecured." Jack stated glancing at his fiancé next to him. "I don't know! Listen, my daughter is in there. I'm scared to death. Let's go." Yuri snarled at the couple. "Just calm down, Yuri." Jack said as Taylor asked, "Where's John?" Just then a whistle sounded through the relatively quiet alleyway. They all turned to the service entrance to see John stood next to a porter and motioning to the door as he walked towards it. They followed him inside until they reached the elevator. John swiped the card and pressed the buttons to get them up to the top floor. Jack placed the bag on the floor and started to pull out some guns, handing one to Taylor and another to his father before loading one for himself and standing up. "I'm guessing you have done that before. Smart." Yuri stated as he looked at the bald man. "I could have done it." Jack stated making Taylor chuckled out, "Men." With a sigh.
