A month later, they were in the hotel, John was helping Jack fix his tie while Lucy and Holly were with Taylor and her mother, Anna.

"You good, kid?" John asked his son as he noticed the nervous look on his son's face.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm good." Jack mumbled to his father.

"Hey, that girl loves you. She ain't going anywhere, don't worry about it, all right?" John told his son, before Holly walked into the room.

"John, Taylor wants you for a moment." She told the man as she walked up to her son and his father.

John patted his son's shoulder before leaving the mother and son alone.

He knocked on the door to the room before entering after hearing his daughter telling him to come in.

"I wish your father was here to see this." Anna told her daughter, with tears in her eyes.

"Mom, don't make me cry, Lucy will kill you if my make up gets ruined." Taylor chuckled out weakly.

John looked at his late best friend's wife and daughter before clearing his throat.

"Mom, Lucy, can you give me and John a moment please?" Taylor asked the two women.

They waited for the two girls to leave the room before either one of them talked.

"You look beautiful. Your dad would be on his knees crying if he were here." John told the blonde, making her laugh.

"I think it would be him crying because I'm marrying his best friend's son rather than because of how I look." She chuckled out.

"True." John smiled while nodding his head.

"It's why I asked you to come here, to be honest. My dad isn't here and my mom is my matron of honour so she can't walk me down the aisle." Taylor started as she looked up at the man.

"Would you walk me down the aisle, John. You were his best friend and I think he would have wanted you to do the honours in his place." Taylor finished.

John looked at the girl in shock before walking up to her and taking her hands in his before saying, "I would be happy to, TJ."

She smiled brightly at the man and planted a kiss on his cheek before telling him, "You better go tell Jack."

John did just that, he walked towards his son with a proud smile on his face.

"What's got you so smiley?" Jack asked his father.

"What, besides my son getting married?" John asked sarcastically.

"Yeah, besides that." Jack stated.

"TJ, just asked me to walk her down the aisle in her dad's place." John stated to his son, who sent him a small smile.

"He would have killed me, if he knew, we were getting married without him." Jack chuckled out.

"Nah, he would have beat the shit out you and told you to protect her with your life, but let's face it. TJ can handle herself, we've both seen it." John said before embracing his son in a man-hug and walking back to the room Tylor was waiting in with her mother and Lucy.

Jack stood at the altar, waiting nervously as the music started and he saw Lucy walk down the aisle in her bridesmaid dress, followed by his mom, Holly, and Taylor's mom, Anna.

Both mothers gave him a smile and a kiss on the cheek before the wedding march began to play and Taylor walked out with her hand placed in his father's elbow.

Jack was breathless at the sight of the girl, her blonde locks were in a neat updo rather than her usual messy braids or ponytail and the white and blush coloured dress hugged her figure perfectly.
