"Celeste! Your father is waiting in the car to take you to school! Hurry sweetie!" my mom yelled from the bottom of the grand staircase. Even though my room is at the end of the east wing I still heard her perfectly. Just like when she called for me to wake up the first, second and third time, I heard her very clearly but I was going to lie and say I didn't because I was still laying in bed, not ready, wrapped in a big fuzzy blanket. "Coming!" I yelled as I forced myself up. I jumped in the shower and took the fastest shower ever. I raced into my dress closet and put on the first one I saw well felt my eyesight isn't that good. I squinted in the full length mirror, my dress almost looked like my mom... "Celeste please hurry!" "I'm almost ready!" I rushed to my vanity, grabbed my hair straightener and somehow managed to style my hair in beach waves without burning half of my head. "Thank Fairy Godmother for technology." I said "Looking good." Sina, my magic mirror said. "Ah, good morning Sina" I said as I tried to put on some mascara without poking my eye out , I really needed contacts.
"Goodmorning Celeste, you look like the fairest one of them all considering you didn't sleep a wink last night talking to the girls." "It was a very important conversation!" I argued, "Oh right, I hope Asher notices me tomorrow." she said in her best impression "I don't sound like that" I said as I practically jumped into my new heels that I had gotten the day before on my weekly shopping trip, I had to stay on top of all the latest trends. "Says you." "I'm late, I'll deal with you later" I said "You? Late? What a surprise." Sina said in a sarcastic tone. I grabbed my purse and b-lined it back to the bathroom where I almost slipped and broke my neck but caught myself and quickly but thoroughly brushed my teeth and attempted to put on some lip gloss. After I grabbed my phone, ripped my charger out the wall and stuffed them into my bag.
Then I went down the side steps to the kitchen and grabbed a muffin off the tray on the counter for breakfast and raided the pantry for some snacks for lunch. The whole place smelled like vanilla. I rushed past the dining room but walked back to (kind of) see the chefs cleaning up the table. I felt bad that they always worked so hard on making my favorite meals but I never had the time to sit down and eat because I was always in a rush and grabbed my food to go. Whenever I didn't eat breakfast Pierre, one of our chefs saved it for me for an after school snack or late night snack depending on what time I came home, but it wasn't the same. (food tastes better right after it's prepared) I made a mental note to wake up early the next day so I could actually eat with my parents and enjoy my food. "Sweetie! You're going to be late!" my mom warned, I started running again and almost crashed into one of the statues in the hall or maybe it was one of the guards, I couldn't tell.
"I'm coming right now!" I ran into the foyer where my mom was waiting . As I got closer I could kind of see what she was wearing. She had her long brown hair down and I think it framed her face perfectly, her blouse was off white and her jeans were dark wash. "Good Morning Mom! I love you ,see you later!" I said rushing past her. "Eh, hm forgetting something?" she asked , I stopped in my tracks, pixie dust I was so close. I turned to see her holding up my glasses. "Oh right, thanks Mom." I said as I put them on "You need to stop losing them" She said putting air quotes around losing, I needed to find a better hiding spot for them. "I don't want to find these anywhere else but on your face ok?" "Ok" "Alright, have a good day at school honey, I love you" she gave me a hug and a kiss on my forehead, when I looked at her, her eyes sparkled like blue diamonds, I wished I had her eye color, "Then maybe he'd notice me" I thought. "Love you too Mom." I said and hurried out the front french doors. I heard her say "Princesses these days are always in a hurry but always late." and she wasn't wrong.
When I got outside I stepped down the vast staircase in front of our castle and stepped into the silver suv where my dad waited. He wore a black button up with gray slacks and black shoes. He had his jet black hair slicked back and a little stubble on his face. That was weird, my dad always shaved. "Good Morning Pumpkin" He said and kissed my forehead. "Goodmorning Dad, how'd you sleep?" I asked as I put my seatbelt on and the car started moving. We were on our way to Enchanted High. "Not so good, your mother was on the phone with SB again." "Any gossip?" "Not really just a lot of facts, it's like that woman doesn't sleep. Ever." That explains the stubble he was too tired to shave after one of mom's all nighter calls. "Yeah being unconscious for a hundred years will do that to you." we both laughed, we have the same smile, nose and sense of humor. We're basically twins except he has hazel eyes and I have dark brown and my hair is naturally brown but I dyed it silver (thanks Mom!). Also, he has wide eyes and I have almond shaped eyes like my mom. But we're two peas in a pod either way.
