CHAPTER 35

Morgan's Perspective

"Kane is my friend. From when you left me to go on tour," I explain to Niall. "Don't worry, I love you and only you."

Niall sighs and wraps an arm around me shoulder, "don't worry about it. As long as you don't like him that way."

"I don't," I smile, and peck him on the lips. At the same time, Harry runs to where we are as well and Louis and Zayn. Harry had tears streaming down his face, and Louis was trying not to cry. Zayn was just looking down at the ground.

"What's wrong?" I ask, jumping up.

"Z-Zayn-" Harry starts, but collapses to the ground, sobbing. I slap my hand over my mouth at the sight, and look over at Zayn. "What happened?"

"I-I've been getting so much hate and attention," he whispers, avoiding eye contact completely. "Ever since I got engaged to Perry."

"Wait, you're engaged?" I shout. Zayn nods, "yes, I thought someone told you. But, uh, I don't exactly like it. I used to be able to ignore it so easily, but now there's so many rumours, hate, attention; I'm stressed."

Harry lets out another sob, and tears fall down Louis's face. He bends down, and hugs Harry. I look back at Niall, and he seemed just as confused as I was.

"I hate it, all of it. So . . ." Zayn pauses, and tears fall down his cheeks. "I want to live a normal life. Without the hate and all that. I just want to be normal!"

I lick my lips, tears forming at the corners of my eyes as I think I know where this is going.

"The tour is paused," he says, struggling to say the words, "but it will continue. Once I'm gone."

I suck in a deep breath, and try to blink the tears away. My entire time here took this weird turn so suddenly, and I never thought it would. I thought we could all be happy again, but we're not . . .

"I'm going into another direction," Zayn sobs. I stand there, frozen. He's leaving One Direction. I didn't know how to react. I didn't know how to really do anything at this point. My entire life is collapsing. Of course there's still Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis

. But what's One Direction without Zayn?

I decided to use this to start ending my story. I don't have motivation to write it, so I think it's going to finish off soon. I had many ideas, but honestly, I can't write knowing Zayn isn't in the band anymore. I know this was a while back, but it's still broken me.

Get ready for the ending, because it might happen soon.

Sorry for the short chapter, it's the least I could do from not updating at all.
