The next day, Ansel made for his first class, fidgeting his fingers. He tried to understand what he found last night in his dorm. Questions exploded in his mind like fireworks. Why did he have a copy of Unordinary? How did he get it? Who gave it to him? What should I do about this?

When he got to class, he sat in the middle row next to an empty desk. As much as Ansel tried to collect himself, the screeching of metal chair legs and the loud chatter of his classmates left him irritated. His lack of sleep didn't help his situation. He stayed up all night once again. Instead of finishing homework, he worried about Jack and his book.

Facing the front of the room, through heavy eyelids, Ansel noticed an anatomy chart hanging in front of the chalkboard. The chart featured a human organ system with vein-like structures branching from the central nerves to the limbs. The header of the chart read: "The aura system."

"Alright, class! Please take your seats." The teacher said as she approached the front of the room. "Before we pick up where we left off, you will all receive your tests from last week. I must say I am disappointed by the results."

She continued, "You're free to study while I call names to the front of the room."

Setting down and unzipping his backpack, Ansel took out his notebook. He sifted through the book, looking for an empty page to start on. Even if he tried to distract himself with his studies, he still couldn't help but worry.

Jack doesn't just disappear like that! Something's not right. What am I supposed to do about this? I hope the authorities can find him soon, he thought. The royals are coming back today. Maybe they can help this time.

It was another ordinary day at Agwin High School for all except the royals. Returning from the turf war, they were bitter and defeated, especially Rein, the Queen of Agwin. All four members of the royal roster strode through the double glass doors. Rein the Queen, Broven the King, Gou the Jack, and Galen the Healer.

Rein was tall; it was all in her legs. Her majestic silver hair glistened in the soft light from the large hallway windows. A sharp chin and deep-brown eyes accompanied her commanding presence.

Broven's long puce hair was tied back, showing off the striking symmetry of his face, straight, sculptured shoulders, and eyes resembling two sparkling jades. He wore a pair of three-inch heels that matched his uniform; it made him feel taller than the rest, except for Rein, who stood at the same height as him. The other students occupying the halls, seeing them, yielded to the royals, not daring to get in their way. Gou and Galen followed behind the King and Queen. Silence washed over the crowds of students, and whispers of gossip followed:

"I heard we got our asses kicked in turf wars."

"What? Even with Rein on our side?" "About that, she got her ass handed to her by the Defense King."

"Wellston's King? What a disappointment. Isn't she supposed to be undefeatable?"

"Yeah, it got pretty out of hand. Wellston's Ace had to stop the fight!"

Rein paused. Her muscles tightened, her nostrils flared, and her fists clenched.

"I can still hear you!" She barked as she whipped around and glared at the crowds. A tense silence filled the hallway once more. The other students cowered in fear before the royals. Broven and the others stopped in their tracks as well.

"C'mon Rein," Broven said, facing her. "Don't listen to them."

She sighed and continued down the hallway, turning her back on the crowd. The other royals followed. "Filthy commoners!" Rein murmured. "All they do is gossip!" There was a moment of silence between the royals. The only noise they heard was the faint sounds of locker doors slamming shut and their footsteps across the hard floor. Rein tried to compose herself despite the events of the turf war. The memory of her match with Arlo, the King of Wellston, was seared into her mind.
