Thou Shalt Not Suffer A Witch To Live. Exodus 22:18

A few months had passed since Maxi's first lesson in the arcane. Since then Agatha continued to teach the young witch all she knew, but it was time to move on to the next part of his journey.

The days after Maxi's first lesson seemed to mesh together. During the day Maxi and Agatha learned he could use his hexes to transmute objects into something else using his probability manipulation on molecular/atom levels.

Agatha had stopped Maxi's training one day to inform him of a new exercise she came up with. She wanted Maxi to get some more experience outside of the town of Salem and sent him out of town. She didn't give him a lot of information but she assured him the results would be positive.

Using her magic Agatha summoned a portal to transport Maxi to the new location. Stepping through the magic portal Maxi immediately felt a sense of familiarity in the air. Something was pulling him forward he didn't know why but he felt as if he had to.

Journeying further Maxi walked the rundown streets of the town searching for the cause of the strange feeling. As he walked into what appeared to be the town square he saw an abundance of people shopping at various carts in the area.

"Why'd you like this coat darling? it would complement your skin tone. A vendor said holding out a red cotton jacket that seemed to be made recently.

"I would love to," Maxi said running his fingers across the soft red fabric. "But I don't have any money," he said sadly backing away from the vendor. "It's ok dear the sokovian nights tend to be chilly this time of year, you'll need it if you want to stay warm. The vendor said placing the coat back in Maxi's hands.

Nodding thank you, Maxi put on the coat and strolled around the area until he stopped in his tracks when he finally processed what the vendor said to him when she gave him the coat.

Needing to be sure Maxi looked around till he found a nearby sign in sokovian. As Maxi finally realized where Agatha sent him he felt something pull him toward a crowd of people waiting in line in front of a guy his age.

Walking closer Maxi noticed he was handing out stuff to the people in the crowd. The things he was handing out varied from medicine, toys, and even a dress for a girl he was talking to.

While he was talking to the girl he and Maxi made eye contact stopping him in mid-sentence. "Excuse me," the guy said setting his box of items on a nearby table and jogging over to Maxi. Now that they were face to face, Maxi noticed the guy was a whole head taller than him.

Maxi also noticed his platinum hair with black roots. Suddenly the taller guy enveloped Maxi in a hug almost squeezing the life out of him due to the sheer strength of the hug.

"malý brat" he whispered caressing Maxi's head. "I can't believe it's you". Deeply confused Maxi pushed the taller boy off of him. "What are you talking about!?" Maxi whisper-yelled not wanting to draw attention to them.

Wiping a tear from his face the boy gathered his thoughts before responding. "It's me, Pietro," he said taking a step forward to which Maxi responded with one backward.

"I'm your brother," he said slowly approaching Maxi. "I don't have a brother!" Maxi exclaimed keeping his distance.

"Dick Van Dyke season 2 episode 21,".
Hearing that Maxi's eyes widened in shock. Wanting to be sure Maxi quickly searched Pietro's mind to see if he was telling the truth only to see that he was.

Overwhelmed with emotion Maxi ran into Pietro's arms as tears streamed down his face. While his tears wet jacket Maxi felt Pietro return the hug just as tight as before. "We have a lot to talk about," Pietro said while rubbing the back of Maxi's head.

And with that, the siblings left the town square and wandered the streets while they caught up. "There's something I still don't understand, if you're my brother how come I don't have any memories of you," Maxi asked while the pair stopped at a nearby bench.

Before Pietro could answer, a voice from behind them answered for him. "I think I can answer that" a familiar voice scaring Pietro off the bench. "Agatha!" Maxi exclaimed glad to see a familiar face.

"Hello child" Agatha greeted before turning to Pietro who was still wary of the random old lady who popped out of nowhere. "Relax Pietro, she's a friend," Maxi said placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

Reassured by his younger brother Pietro let his guard down. "Allow me to show you what you're looking for," Agatha said gently placing her hands on top of the sibling's heads. With a single incantation, both the twins were suddenly taken back to that fateful day.

The first thing Maxi saw was their mother in the kitchen just like she was before the bombing. "And right about now," Maxi said turning to the front door his father walked in coming home from work.

Before he could even close the front door their father was greeted by a young Pietro before a young Maxi followed suit. They had just finished making dinner and were about to sit in front of the tv. Their father had pulled out a box of DVDs for them to watch, Maxi wanted to watch The Dick Van Dyke show much to Pietro's annoyance.

There were barely into the episode when the bomb struck their house. Maxi didn't even flinch from the noise. Standing in the rubble of their house Pietro reached for Maxi's hand to comfort him. "After the shell hit the two of you were separated in the debris your brother unconscious a few feet away," Agatha explained.

"Due to the sudden traumatic experience, your brain made you believe you were an only child to shield you from even pain," she said taking the siblings back to the bench from before. "When I awoke in the rubble I-I couldn't find you," Pietro said gripping Maxi's hand tighter.

"I thought I had lost everything," he said his eyes watering. "Until I saw you," Pietro said with a smile to which Maxi returned the favor.

"Pietro, would you like to return with us to Salem?" Agatha asked already knowing the answer. "Absolutely!" Pietro exclaimed, "I'm never letting you outta my sight,".

"Excellent," Agatha said opening a portal home. Before they walked through the portal both siblings shot each other a look glad to be together again.
