Long ago, a child named Saturn was born; son of Jupiter, full of valiant. As he grew, he was driven to dominate over his father's condescending position, and he achieved it. He became a deity to his people, and he happily ruled over all.
As a courageous leader, he will stop at nothing to prevent anyone from stealing his power. So, he ordered his army to find someone to foresee who will try to nick his throne.
A sharp-witted prophet came to view and followed Saturn's orders;
"Foresee who shall fight to the death's with me, for the almighty power of I" he spoke.
The prophet did what the monarch bid, and declare that one of his own will seize his dominion.By the time of the telling, Saturn's wedded wife barged through the door to apprise news of his son to be born. Without knowing the true intentions of his consort, she smiled as Saturn beamed at her. Months later, his sons was born. One named Cybele and other Zeus.
Years flew by, the boys grew to be just like their father, both charming and captivating. Their lecturers pleased to have them. Soon the heir's became at age, around 4 to 5 years. The more they aged, the more Saturn feared of their ascendancy.
One night, Saturn couldn't sleep; he kept thinking of how to keep his pride. He snuck into his sons room. He held one of his descendants, Cybele, and whispered;
"You are my offspring, and I love you so; but my faculty and jurisdiction is more crucial. Pardon me, but I must condone these actions."With teary eyes, he slowly grasp Cybele's arm, and devoured his own. He continued, and with all his brawn, ripped his own successors head from his body. He resumed his deed; gnashing teeth, ripping skin, swallowing his pride like the meat of his beheaded son.
Little Zeus awoke.
He stared at his father and caught sight of his headless brother in his arms, pieces of his skin dangling about.There was nothing but dread in poor Zeus' eyes as he screamed in terror. Their mother walked in and behold the terrifying scene and quickly snatched Zeus to her arms and fled from their home, never to come back again.
Years flew and went, Zeus became his own sovereign, but behind the great and all mighty, is a memory that can never be forgotten.
