Chapter 3

*The next day*

Y/n pov

I woke by Samson licking my finger tips signaling to get ready for school, today was a Friday which I'm so happy since I'm spending the night at finney's! I got ready and picked out my outfit for school

At school

I was walking in the hallway until I felt someone bump into me causing me drop all my books and fall along with them. "HEY WATCH WHERE-" l look up to see Finney "H-holy shit, i-i'm so sorry Y/n! Are you hurt?" "N-no i'm ok." He helped me pick up the rest of my things and ran off after saying his final sorry to me. Why was Finn in such a rush? I mean the minute bell didn't even ring yet, after thinking about it I shrugged it off and headed to class, my next class was Math l have Moose in the class which makes it 10 times worst since he calls me a slut, a whore in class I seriously can't take it! Let's just hope for the better..

After school

"Donna~, Donna, oh Donna I can be your science partner" Gwen teased finney apparently Donna asked finney to be her science partner. I'd have to admit I was a little jealous of her, but I couldn't show it on my face. "Well I'm heading over to Suzie's so you know what that means." Gwen walking away "I'll watch over dad" and I'll walk alone again I was interrupted by my thoughts as finney was waving his hand in front of my face. "Helloooo? Earth to y/n" I jumped when I saw him in front of me, like 2 inches away from my face, I blushed and stepped back "Dude you ruined my train of thought!!" I said "sorry but you weren't responding to me. I felt uneasy when he was talking about Donna but I would eventually get over it.

At finney's house

Once I got to finney's house I got to see his dad again with his 8 packs of beer on the side of him, he gave me a sloppy wave which by my standards he's probably hungover, not that I really care about ur thought since I'm not his child.

After talking about Random school things, and cleaning up the place me and finney decided to watch a scary movie while his dad was a sleep finney had second thoughts but later gave in and decided to get some ice cream and watch the movie with me

"Want some? I brought an extra spoon if you w-wanted some." He asked politely asking if I wanted some ice cream

"O-oh t-thank you finney.." I said sweetly I blushed lightly as he gave me the spoon, when he gave me the spoon our fingers touch where finney's was holding the handle and I was holding his hand. We looked in each other's eyes until I broke the contact and continued watching the movie with him.

I saw finney's jump a little and I held his hand to reassure him that it's okay which he tightened his grip on my hand but then I later placed my head on his shoulder which he didn't mind at all and we continued to watch the movie

*15 minutes later*

Nobody's pov

Once the movie was over y/n and finney finally went to sleep on the floor where the TV was. Y/n had her arms wrapped around finney, while finney had his hand on her head, they both slept peacefully.

The next morning

Y/n pov

I woke up by the sound of...

Crying..? And yelling?!

Oh no this can't be good!

I Quickly got up leaving finney which finney woke up quickly as I did as he heard the screaming, we entered the kitchen to see Gwen being beaten by her dad with a belt in his hand.

"I'M SORRY!" Gwen cried out. Her tears causing me to curl up my hands and make it into a fist

"DAD!" " MR BLAKE! WHY AR-" me and Finney called out as he saw what he was doing to his daughter. I tried to intervene but finney pull my arm  back so I wouldn't get hurt.

"You two stay out of this! Gwenny they came to my work...WHY DID THE POLICE COME TO MY WORK?!" He hit her with the belt again causing Gwen to cry out her dad's question "I DON'T KNOW! I'M SORRY!" "you need to tell me what you know about this investigation!" He yelled out

"Nothing!" Gwen barked back, I stood there hesitant of what I wanted to do but I knew that Gwen didn't deserve this! But I couldn't do anything! My thoughts were soon interrupted when Gwen grabbed her father's bottle of vodka

"Hit me again and IM DROPPING IT!" She yelled out I took a step forward while finney was watching everything unfold in front of him.

"You drop that I'll beat your ass twice as hard" he snarled at Gwen and within seconds she dropped it Finney tried pulling me back which he was too slow I ran towards Gwen and grabbed her arm trying to get her away from her dad, which he dad quickly grabbed gwen's arm and mine and pushed me to the ground where the glass was causing me to fall into the glass, stabbing my side. In pain I yelped as Gwen was getting beaten by the belt.

"DAD! Y/N!" Finney yelled out but stood there afraid of what his dad would do if he intervened. I sat up and leaned up against the wall watching the argument continue. And just before I knew it, I felt tears fall down my face feeling the pain and how my heartache for Gwen.

"MY DREAM ARE JUST DREAMS!" Gwen cried out

"SAY IT AGAIN!" Telling Gwen to say what she just said. I felt all dizzy and I couldn't function of what's happening...that I just closed my eyes and listened of what was happening.

"Go watch some television or something.." he said then mumbled the last part. "And no ice on that bottom young lady! I need you to think about what you done!" As Gwen left the kitchen still hurt mr Blake turned to me with a angry expression "Your lucky I didn't tell your father about this..we never speak of this again. You understand?!" I nodded at his request. When he left finney ran Next to me checking if the wound had spread everywhere which it barely did.

"Oh Shit! I'm so sorry y/n! I-l didn't protect you-" he started rambling saying that it was his fault. "Finney! It's ok...I'm alright it's just a scar." He make eye contact with me, reassuring me that again that he was sorry, I raised my hand to his face to move his hair out his face, looking into his eyes more clearly.
He stared for about 3 minutes until he picked me up by my arm and carried me to the bathroom to get the bandages.

Oh I wonder does he really like Donna..?
