Your Life with God

Accepting yor Assignment

You were put on earth to make a contribution.You're not just created to consume resources,you're not just created to eat,sleep and take up space.Kailangan magdagdag ka sa Earth,hindi basta kumuha lang. God wants you to give back. This is called "ministry" or service. The Bible gives us the details.
1.You were created to serve God.When you serve others,your neighbors.You're also serving God.God told Jeremiah."Before I made you in your mother's womb,I chose you.Before you were born.I set you apart for a special work."You were placed on this planet for a special assignment.
2.You were saved to serve God.Ang sabi sa Bible,Si God ang namili sa atin para gawin ang kanyang "holy work."Hindi dahil deserve natin,kundi dahil yun ang plano niya.Hindi tayo nasaved by service.Nasaved tayo for service.In God's kingdom you have a role,place,function,purpose to fulfill.'Yun ang magbibigay ng kahulugan sa buhay mo.Sinakripisyo ni Kuya Jesus ang buhay niya para sa salvation natin. The Bible reminds us,"God paid a great price for you.So use your body to honor God".Hindi natin sinserve si God because of duty or fear,but because we love him and because of the gratitude of saving us,for what he'v done for us.We owe him our lives.Through salvation our past have been forgiven,our present have given a meaning,and our future is secured.Paul concluded."Because of God's mercy.Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God,dedicated to his service."The apostle John taught that our loving care,sacrifice for other means we are saved.The one that is saved is the one who is serving.'Yung iba kapag sinabing "ministry"Akala priest,lay mister,etc...But God says that every member of his family is a minister. In the Bible the word "servant" and "minister" is synonym.Same as "serving" and "ministering." If you are a Christian,you are a minister.If you are serving,you are ministering.When Peter's mother-in-law was healed by Jesus,he began to stood up and serve God.Ganto dapat ang gawin natin.We are blessed to be a blessing.Saved to serve. Healed to help others.Hindi lang tayo basta uupo and wait for heaven.If I have no desire to help others,no love for others.I should question whether God is really in my life.Nagtaka ka na ba kung bakit kailangan ka pang iwan dito ni God sa fallen world na 'to kahit na tinatanggap mo na ang grace niya?Simply,because you need to do his purpose for you,your mission.God has a ministry for you in his church,and a mission in this world.
3.You are called to serve God.Akala mo siguro yung mga priests,minister,etc...lang ang mga taong tinawag ni God.But it's not true,every Christian is called by God.Every Christian,regardless if for carrer or job are called to serve God.You're called to salvation.The Bible says,"He saved us and called us to be his own people,not because of what we have done,but because of his own purposes." Peter adds,"You were chosen to tell the execellent qualities of God,who called you." When you helping others,you accept the call. The Bible says,"Now you belong to him...in order that we might be useful in the service of God."How much of your time have been useful in the service of God?How much time do you spent to serve God? In some churhes in China,they welcome the new believers by saying,"Now,Jesus have a new pair of eyes to see with,new pair of ear to listen with,new pair of hands to help with,and new heart to love others with." The reason why do you need to be connected in a church family is to fulfill your calling to serve other believers. All of us are in the Christ's Body,and each of us has a necessary role to play with.And every role is important;it all matters.There are no insignificant ministry.Small or big,each have a function to play with.Every ministry are important,because we are all dependent in each other function. Example,if your lung decided to leave because he's already tired.(let's just say because you're smoking so lung gets hurt.)You get sick.My point each,each of organ is important.Small or big,each of that have a function to perform.That's why, there's many church that dying because the persons,or believers have stopped on believing.They start to be just a spectators,and the Body suffers.
4.You are commanded to serve God.
Jesus said,"Your attitude must be like my own,for I,the Messiah did not come to be served,but to serve and give my life."Sa ating mga Christians,hindi tayo inuubliga na magserve.Lagi lang natin isinisingit 'yon,'pag may free time tayo.But,it is the heart of Christian life. Jesus,'give' and 'serve'.Those two verbs define yor life here on earth.Mother Teresa once said,"Holy living consist in a doing God's work with a smile."Spiritual maturity is never end up in itself.We grow up in order to give out.Maturity is for ministry.We must act on what we know and practice what we believe.Impression without expression leads to depression.Study without service can lead to spiritual stagnation.(stagnate means to stop developing).The Sea of Galilee is a sea that is full of life,he takes water and give out.While the Dead Sea,is the sea of dead,nothing lives on their because of no outflow.The Sea has been stagnated.Most of the time,we just want to be served,not to serve.We always finding a church that will meet our need and bless us.But,we should look for a church that you can serve and be a blessing.The mature follower of Christ stop asking,"Who's going to meet my needs?"and start asking,"Who's need can I meet?"
-Preparing for Eternity.
At the end of your life,you will stand with God and he will evaluate what things you do to help and serve others.One day God will compare how much time we spent on ourselves and how much time we spent on helping and serving others.At doon,walang kwenta ang mga excuses natin,"busy ako e." "I have my goals in life." "I'm busy in working" To all excuses God will respond,"I created,saved,called and commanded you live a life of service,to serve!"The Bible warns,"He will pour out his anger and wrath for those who live for themselves." Jesus said,"If you insist on saving your life,you will lose it.Only those who threw their lives for my sake and for the sake of Good News will know what it means to really live."This truth is so important that it is repeated five times in the Gospels.If you aren't serving,you're just existing,because life is meant for ministry.God wants you to learn to serve,help and love the other unselfishly.
-Service and Significance.
You are going to give your life for something,career,hobby,sport,fame,wealth.But,none of that have a lasting significance.It is through ministry that we discover our lives.The Bible says,"Each of us finds a meaning and function as a part of his body."As we serve together in God's family,our lives take on eternal significance.God wants you to make a difference in his world.He wants to work through you.What matters is not the duration of your life,but the donation of it.Not how long you lived,but how do you live.Abraham was old,Jacob was insecured,Gideon was poor,Joseph was abused,Moses stuttered.That is a quite variety of misfits but God uses each of them in his service.God will use you too,we.If we stop having excuses.
