It Takes Time

There are no shortcuts for maturity.Spiritual growth,like physical growth takes time.Katulad ng fruit,kapag binuksan mo yun agad it loses the flavor.While we are worried on how fast we grow,God is worried on how strong we grow.God views our lives from and for eternity.Sa una,bibigyan tayo ni God ng mga problema,sa gayon lalapit tayo sa kanya.'Pag lumapit na tayo sa kanya,dun na natin isusurrender ang lahat. But the truth is,there is a lot in your life that you aren't even aware of.Kahit pwede na agad tayong itransform ni Papa God,he choose to do it slowly.Why does it take so long to change and grow?
1.We are slow learners.Mabilis kasi natin nakakalimutan yung tinuro ni Papa God at babalik agad sa dating behavior.Kaya dapat inuulit-ulit.
2.We have a lot to unlearn.Maraming tao ang nagpapacounsil for some relationship problems, etc...na siya talagang inaabot ng years para masolve.There is no pill,prayers or whatever that will undo the damage of many years.Kahit ng oras,hard word of replacement.The bible called this "taking off the old shelf" and "putting on the new shelf" Kahit na bago na yung nature mo, meron ka pa ring old and bad habits,pattern na dapat ipractice para mawala talaga at mapalitan.
3.We are afraid to humbly face the truth about ourselves.Yes,the truth set us free.But it will make us miserable first.Dahil takot tayo na madiskubre kung sino talaga tayo ang nagtutulak satin para magdeny,mabuhay sa kasinungalingan.You cannot grown without humble,teachable attitude.
4.Growth is often painful and scary.
There is no growth without change,no change without fear or loss,no loss without pain.Every change,involves a loss of some kind. Kung gusto mong magbago,you need to have a new habits,at magagawa mo lang yun kung mawawala ang old habits mo.People often build their identity in their defects. They say, "This is me..." But the unconscious worry is sino ako kapag ni let go ko ang aking habits,hurt,etc...Dito tayo natatakot kaya bumbagal ang paglaki ng spiritual spirit natin.
4.Habits takes time to develop.
You character is the sum total of your habits.You can't claim to be kind unless you are habitually kind,you can be kind without thinking of it if you are habitually kind.Your habits define your character.You can be a Christlike character by practice. There is no instant habits. You must practice them and it takes time.Repetition is the mother of character and skill.Practice makes perfect. These character building habits often called "spiritual disciplines."Don't get in a hurry.
There are ways to cooperate with God.
1.Believe God is working in your life even if you don't feel it.The bible says,"Everything on earth has it own time and season."Ganon din yung pag growth ng spiritual life mo.Sometimes naggogrow,(spring)sometimes panghihinaan ka.(winter and fall)
By time,ang halaman ay pwede maging malaking puno.
2.Keep a notebook or journal of the lessons learned.Isulat mo yung mga natutunan mo mo about God,Jesus,relationship,yourself,etc...So you can review them and can pass to the next generation.The reason why we must relearn the lessons is because we forget them.Reviewing your journal can spare you a lot of unnecessary pain and heartache.
3.Be patient with God and with yourself.We're hurry but God is not,kaya nafufrustrate tayo sa mabagal na pagbabago sa buhay natin.God is never in hurry,but he is always in time.He will use your entire lifetime to prepare your role in eternity.Sa bible,ang daming example kung saan makikita mo kung gaano niya katagal dinevelop ang character,kung gaano niya katagal pinepair ang mga leaders.Example si Moises,80 years niya siyang pinepair.14,600 days!Kapag gustong gumawa ni God ng mushroom,gagawin niya yun ng overnight.Sandali lang.Pero kapag gusto niyang gumawa ng giant oak,he takes hundred years.Great souls are grown through struggles and stroms and season of suffering.Be patient with the process.
4.Don't be discouraged.Be patient.God is always on time.Remember how far you've come than how far you have to go.You are not where you want neither you are not where you used to be.(PBPGINFWMY)"Please be patient,God is not finish with me yet."Hindi pa tapos sayo si God,so just keep moving forward!Remember,even the snail reach the ark by persevering!

•Again,sorry for the typos and this is my reflection in one of the chapters the book,"The Purpose Driven Life" I recommend to you guys to read it,it is really a good spiritual book that was written by Rick Warren.😇
