Pairing: Severus Snape/Narcissa Malfoy

Severus crept through the dark, walking as silently as he could down the long, gravel driveway. He had chosen to dress differently tonight, opting for more... practical attire. He would hate to get caught due to his less-than forgiving woolen attire. He paused, looking around to make sure he hadn't alerted any of the over-stuffed alabaster guard birds as the stones crunched beneath his feet. He held his breath, waiting, but they still snoozed beneath their prideful feathers.

Assuming he was safe, he continued his walk, pleased when he could finally move off into the grass—  he could be quieter this way. His heart pounded beneath his chest. He was apprehensive at best, terrified at worst. This had been planned for months, something he had been fantasizing about ever since he saw her in that delectable backless gown at the ministry gala he was forced to attend. She was absolutely beautiful and he needed to have her. If this was the only way to make it work, so be it. He was used to taking what he wanted, after all.

He made his way to the large, imposing door. He couldn't just waltz right in, that would draw too much attention from the house elves, or worst of all, to the Lord and Lady of the house. No, he'd have to find another way in. Perhaps a more muggle option? Surely the Pureblooded family wouldn't expect him sneaking through a window. He slunk around the side of the mansion, looking for a good foothold.  Pleased when he thought he found one, he eagerly reached out, grasping a protruding stone only to be thrown back by a powerful ward.

Fucking Lucius. There weren't supposed to be wards.

Now, he was worse than pissed. What was supposed to be a night of passion, admittedly more enjoyable for himself, was now going to turn into something a bit darker due to this little mishap. He quickly got up, pulling his ebony wand from his sleeve and casting spells to lower the wards. It was easier than he suspected, and he kicked himself for not thinking of it sooner. Quickly, he dug his fingers and shoes into the stone and started to climb, unwilling to risk life and limb should one of the damn peacocks show up.

Severus was starting to sweat beneath his black jumper. He felt like a muggle cat burglar, climbing up the side of a bloody building, praying for an open window. He supposed he could have tried to apparate inside or use a broomstick but, where was the fun in that?

Finally, he found a cracked window. Pressing his body tight against the stone exterior, he quickly flicked his wrist to cast a silencing charm before hastily clinging to the rock once more. He pulled his body upwards, just a bit further, until he could crawl through the window. Finally, he was inside. Now... to find his prize

Narcissa Malfoy stirred in her sleep. She had slept with her window cracked as usually her husband's warm body kept her at risk of overheating. Tonight, however, she found herself chilly as Lucius had not returned from his trip to the loo. She squirmed against her silk sheets, the cool material against her bare skin always made her feel like a goddess. Especially when her husband couldn't keep his hands to himself.

There was a loud crash.

She snapped her eyes open, pulling the sheet tightly across her chest, the air was chilled which she found odd. She rolled over, searching for her husband but his side of the bed was cold to the touch. She sat up now, keeping the sheet in place with her left hand as she reached for her wand on the bedside table.
