(three days later)

I exit the room of requirement into an empty hallway and slowly wander down the corridor. I am so slow now I don't know how much longer I can go without blood. As people pass me all I can focus on is their heartbeats and the bubbling of their blood circling around their bodies. I can feel the pain in my gums because of my fangs, the pounding headache and the hunger pains clawing from the inside of my stomach. My posture is slightly hunched so before any more side glances get exchanged in my direction I stand up straight and compose myself. I stride down the hallways trying my best to seem intimidating so people won't ask questions and I make my way towards to the library.

When I enter I notice that around the tables there sits the golden trio. I continue to walk and end up on the opposite side of the library so that I don't have to deal with them specifically Weasel. The urchin with no life of his own so his poor arse has to leach off others, mainly mine. Well, I say poor arse guess he would be happy to know how the tables have turned. Oh, the fun he would have if he were to find out. I snarl and turn my attention to the golden group when I hear a giggle coming from their direction using my heightened senses to listen in.

"Hey guys? Have either of you noticed anything weird happening lately?" Potter asks.

"I haven't noticed anything to out of the unusual... for Hogwarts that is." Granger replies. She turns her head towards Weasel.

"Well Malfoy has been laying off us but I bet that is because he is taking his time, planning with his minions to do something to humiliate us." Of course he would conspire against me, the stupid red-head.

"I don't think so" Potter interrupts, "He hasn't done much to me, not a single hateful comment throughout the whole of the potions lessons."

"Well don't you remember the other day? you got cut because of him!" Weasel lies.

"Ron I've told you I cut myself." He replies softly.

"Well he is obviously guilty. Why else would he run away."

"I don't know."

"Maybe he just doesn't like blood?" Granger suggests. I scoff. God you have no idea. I don't like it but I desire the vile but delectable liquid.

"Possibly" Potter said. "but that wouldn't explain why he keeps sneaking off and I can't help but think I haven't noticed any of his friend hanging around him?"

"He's a death eater. I bet you. That's why he is lurking the place and hiding in the corners. I bet he is gathering information to take directly to the dark lord. I mean he has always hated you Harry wouldn't that be the best revenge that he could get to you after all these years."

"Ron I really don't think we should be jumping to major conclusions like that when we can all agree that he hasn't done anything," the muggle born states.

"BUT HE HAS!" the lying ginger responds. "H-he attacked me the other day in the toilets for no reason what so ever. He is insane, I'm telling you he is just like his father. He is a death eater."

Before I hear anymore I decide that I have heard enough, I don't need to lose my temper around all these people. So I ball my fists and leave not wanting to cause anymore reasons for them to suspect me.

I storm through the castle and I make my way to the Slytherin dorms, I feel the glances in my direction they have been filled with confusion as to why I am acting differently but I just send a glare in their directions and that makes them cower and continue with their own business, I just wonder how long that is going to last. I suddenly notice Blaise on the black leather sofa in front of the dimly lit fireplace and scurry off into my shared dorm.

(time skip)

It is now early evening and everyone starts to come back to the dorms to do their homework or just to relax before dinner. The walking and chattering surrounding me irritates me so I storm out of the room and into the empty cobble courtyard.

Looking up into the clear orange sky relaxes me and it makes my problems feel so small. I watch as the few clouds left dance in the space. The clouds in the sky are so relaxing that they almost make me forget about the hunger pains clouding my stomach.

Instantly I curl over in pain and grip onto my gut, I fall so that I am on my hands and knees, I notice my reflection in a puddle, my eyes are once again bright red, I squeeze my eyes together and grind my teeth in an attempt to suppress the monster inside of me. I don't know how long I can keep this up every flash seems to get harder and harder to tame and come back from, like the monster is escaping its steel prison and me the warden tirelessly holding the door shut.

Once the pain surpasses me enough I get up before anyone comes out of their rooms to go to the great hall.

"So I see you are enjoying your year so far Draco," Blaise comes out of nowhere with a sickly sweet voice. I look up at him panting, still exhausted, not fully recovered from the last hunger spike. As I make my attempt to get up off the floor I get pushed onto the stone brick slab. "It's funny isn't it?" Blaise starts "How you used to have it all the money, the popularity, people swooning at your every demand."

"I don't find anything about my situation humourous," I say out of breath.

"Just wait you'll like this... you used to have it all and now. I can watch you lose it all." I scowl at him. "I never said it would be funny to you, vermin," Blaise smirks as he slowly walks away.
