The young wizard's eyes glowed green, shimmering like the infamous spell they'd always been compared to. He was angry. Enraged, completely and totally swimming in frustration at the news of his friend's betrayal.

Harry Potter had never been a social kind of wizard thanks to his upbringing, he had been taught that staying silent and in the background was the best choice for a person like him, and so that's what he did. For the first 11 years of his life, he followed that teaching and stayed socially isolated. So when he found out that the first people that he made friends with were only friends with him for the money? Safe to say, it didn't end well.

Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, his "best friends," the people who stayed by his side for 7 years - except for when Ron was mad at him - had been getting paid, from his vaults, by Dumbledore to ensure that he would do exactly what was expected of him. For him to become the self-sacrificing martyr that Dumbledore needed him to be for the last battle. Every time he did something that Dumbles approved of, his "friends" were paid.

Harry was currently sitting in a goblin's office in Gringotts, he slightly remembers being introduced to the small goblin, maybe his name was Gripclaw? Slash Hook? He couldn't remember, his mind muddled by anger. The sheet of paper in front of him told him everything he needed to know, how much money they were paid, even after the war, all the blocks and compulsions placed on him, why he had this unexplained rage at everyone other than Ron and Hermione, it explained it all.
