(HEY! LOVE— THE DELFONICS)
❝THAT'S THE KIND OF
GIRL YOU HOLD ON TO.❞EVER SINCE Delina had returned from Qatar a few weeks ago, everything started up again rapidly. She threw herself straight back into university and work, going back into her working mindset. No distractions.
She had to say, she missed the relaxed and slow paced lifestyle she was living in Qatar for those brief weeks. Lulling about the pool, afternoon naps in the hotel room, tanning on the beach and the delicious dinners at night.
It all felt surreal to her now that she was back to her routine. Nevertheless she was extremely grateful for the trip. Regardless of the sad results for England.
She hadn't spoken to Richarlison for two weeks, since she visited him at his hotel room. That was until he texted her a few days ago. Apologising for the loss of contact. Explaining that he just needed some time. His heart was so heavy after brazils defeat.
Of course Delina understood and suspected that was the reason why they hadn't spoken. Knowing their daily conversations not happening was for good reason.
After his explanation he invited her to his nieces 2nd birthday. Knowing that Delina had formed a cute little bond with her.
Delina agreed to go. In fact as of now that's where she was heading. To his nieces birthday.
It was taking place in a little play centre at first. Allowing her to run around with her friends. And then dinner would be happening at Richarlison's house.
Delina got out of her car, present in her hand for the small girl she had grown to really adore. Walking in she spotted Richarlison's family, sat at a table in their own little area of the play centre. They had booked it out for Maria's birthday.
"Hi!" Delina smiled sweetly. Her eyes landing on Richarlison and Lena who were sitting at the table.
"Delina meu amore hello!" His sister greeted her warmly. Hugging her tightly.
"This is for the little birthday princess." Delina smiled handing the gift to Geovana. Looking over at Maria with her dad in the ball pit giggling.
"Thank you!" Geovana kissed her cheek.
Richarlison's mum and dad were the next to say hello to the girl they were extremely fond of. His mum wrapping her arms around Delina. She had missed her.
Richarlison was the last of the bunch. Him and Lena meeting Delina in the middle as she motioned over to them.
"Hey Dels." He hugged her tightly. Feeling the same feeling he felt every time he hugged her.
"Hi." She smiled pulling away.
"Hi girl!" Lena greeted kissing Delina's cheek. Caught her by surprise because usually the blonde Brazilian was a raging bitch to her.
"Hey?" A hint of confusion in Delina's voice as she greeted her back.
Delina sat down at the table with Richarlison's family. All of them looking at Maria playing, whilst in small conversation.
