"Mama, mama!" You excitedly said as you rushed down the stairs with Maria following behind you.

You entered the kitchen where Natasha was finishing getting your backpack together.

"Hi, angel." Natasha smiled. "Did mom do your hair?"

You had your hair up in two braids and a big smile on your face.

You nodded your head happily and it melted Natasha's heart as you burst into giggles when Maria suddenly picked you up and peppered kisses against your cheek.

You are Natasha's and Maria's entire world.

You are their everything.

They look back sometimes on the days before you came into the world and they just think about how much better life is because of you.

You're growing up now and fast.

You just turned four a few weeks ago and today is your first day of school.

Thinking about it makes your moms a little sad, they can't deny that.

But they 're trying to keep from showing that by keeping a smile on their faces.

"You look so pretty, sweetie." Natasha smiled as she walked to where Maria was holding you, giving you a kiss on your forehead. "Are you ready for your first day at school?"

"Yeah!" You excitedly said.

"Well, we should leave now, so we're not late!" Maria said and stared at you in her arms with a proud smile on her face.

Natasha grabbed everything and put the almost empty bowl of cereal into the sink that you had for breakfast.

Natasha headed out the door, lingering a few seconds as she realized that, for the first time, in a little while she'll be returning home without you, her baby girl for the day.

"Nat? Baby, come one." Maria said as she saw the redhead staring into the house.

Natasha nodded wordlessly and closed the front door.

She made sure it was locked before she got into the car.

Natasha sat in the passenger seat as Maria drove.

The school wasn't far from home, just a few minutes away, and the entire drive there you just spoke about how incredibly excited you were about your first day.

"You're going to make so many friends!" Natasha said.

"Yeah!" You cheerfully replied, making Maria smile once again as she looked into the rearview mirror, just for a second.

Maria pulled the car into the parking lot and it came to a stop before she and Natasha got out of it together.

Natasha opened the back door and unbuckled you before you got out, wrapping your small fingers around Natasha's and Maria's as you walked to the doors of the school.

They were greeted by a few teachers and parents that were doing the same thing as Natasha and Maria, letting go of their children for the first time on their first day of school.

Your moms walked you down the hall until you reached the classroom.

"Well, hello!" The teacher grinned. "It's so lovely to see you. Are you ready for your first day of school?"

You grinned as you quickly nodded your head, your big eyes sparkling as Maria let go of your hand.

"Okay. Come on, give me a quick hug." Maria said as she knelt on the floor, smiling brightly as you threw your small arms around her neck.

"Oh, I'm going to miss you. Have a great day!"

"Okay, mommy" You smiled.

You turned to Natasha, watching as she also knelt on the floor.

It was much harder for Natasha for some reason.

"Come here," Natasha said and opened her arms and tried so hard to keep the tears in her eyes from falling as you hugged her tightly.

A moment passed by before Maria rubbed Natasha's shoulder.

"We have to let her go." She spoke into Natasha's ear.

She let out a shaky breath as she let go of you watching as you excitedly rushed into the classroom, waving to Natasha and Maria before you started to go and meet other kids.

"We'll see you in a few hours." The teacher said and
Maria helped you stand up.

"See you then," Maria said.

The door closed and Maria pulled Natasha into her arms.

"She's growing up so fast. Soon, she'll be going off to college."

"Oh, baby," Maria chuckled. "We've got a long time before that day comes."

Natasha put her cheek on Maria's shoulder as she held Natasha close.

Natasha was already counting down the hours until she could come back and pick you up.
