The structure of Hell

Hell is made out of eight rings, and those are:

Pride, locally ruled by Lucifer(who also happens to rule over all rings.)

Wrath, locally ruled by Lucifer(I'm gonna explain later why.)

Envy, locally ruled by Beelzebub.

Sloth, locally ruled by Abadon.

Gluttony, locally ruled by Belphégor.

Greed, locally ruled by Mammon.

Lust, locally ruled by Asmodeus.

Treachery, locally ruled by Satan.

The reason why Lucifer locally rules over Pride AND Wrath is because he is associated with them. He got kicked out of paradise because of pride and is in total wrath towards God.

In the Pride ring, the unfortunate souls who fall down are called demons. They're called different than devils because they have different abilities. Demons are considered disgusting and inferior by devils, who are able to make incantations and other sorcery's. Demons just wonder around the Pride ring until the count down gets to zero and some angels come and raid the ring.

A raid is necessary in the Pride ring because it gets too cramped yearly. Demons cannot be killed by anything other than the angels weapons and after getting killed, they disappear forever.

In the yearly raid, some devils also participate since it's fun for them to kill demons, but they take the risk that they could lose their lives since those weapons can also kill devils.

Katsuki was raised in the Gluttony ring, which is why he's always running after power and being first place. He can never get enough of it.

In all eight rings, the only place where any form of love is possible is Lust. In the Lust ring, it sometimes happens that some devils are born with the ability(or disability as some devils call it) to feel love and mercy towards others.

Both of Katsuki's parents were born like this and the surprise was big when they realized that their one and only son doesn't have any of it. He is incapable of feeling any kind of love or mercy. Satisfaction to it's max. Katsuki is just like any other devil, just better.

In all eight rings, there are some rules that everyone has to follow if they don't want to end up in Satan's Treachery. The eighth ring is also called The Abyss. What happens in there is unknown until you end up in there.

There is absolutely no way any devil can reach heaven without a god's permission.

The structure of Paradise

Paradise doesn't have an exact hierarchy. It's just Zeus and Hera, which are God's left and right hand. And the rest is just like a normal city in the sky. Unseen by the mortal eye, of course.

Since Satan and Lucifer betrayed God, he had gone upper than the rest of the gods can reach and left all the work in everyone else's hands. He is in total grief.

The story says that Satan convinced Lucifer to try and take God's place and when God catched them, Satan blamed it all on Lucifer. Poor man, didn't knew what to do, so he tried to explain Satan convinced him and he wasn't really prone of the plan. But it was too late, the act has been done.

After spending some time down in hell, Lucifer started to get angry. At first he was accepting his punishment, but when he saw that God doesn't have any intention of freeing and forgiving him, he got mad.

He got wrapped in Wrath and accidentally, in his tantrum, created another ring. Even to this day, he is still mad and no one has the nerve to talk to him. He locked himself up in his castle and just gives orders from time to time.

All this time, Satan was having just the time of his life. When he fell down in hell, a new ring got immediately created for him and he came up with an idea fast. He created a prison for all devils who break the rules. The Abyss.
He usually hang around in the Lust ring.(I kinda went back to talking about hell😅)

As I said earlier, God himself ran upper than any other god can reach and left Zeus and Hera to look over Paradise. Of course, their self worth raised and they turned Paradise into what they wanted. A cloud city for gods. There is a different cloud for good people who died in the living world.
