This isn't in free verse, it's just rhyming. Note, this isn't a literal ghost. Idk what it is tbh.

The little ghost it follows me
'O each and every day.
The little ghost it keeps me
From going to far astray.
One day I went into the wood
The little ghost came too.
Then it vanished.
Leaving me feelin' blue.
Many years later
The ghost it came again.
Smiled faintly and apologised
For it causing so much pain.
