Idiots in love (Leosagi)

Chapter 2

Oh my god.

The most gorgeous guy in the whole fucking world just gave me his number.. AND I JUST STOOD THERE?!
Leo said  to himself as he laid on top of his bed looking up at the ceiling.

What the heck is going on?! I mean I'm usually the king of putting on my charm and flirting around!

But this..

This was different.

Leo wasn't used to being nervous around anyone, nor the butterflies in his stomach. But it wasn't a bad feeling at all.. it was like a sensation throughout his body that he never experienced before.

He suddenly looked over at his phone on the dresser beside his bed and grabbed it. He was hesitant at first, but he caved in and put Usagi's number in his phone.

Leo- Hey, Bunny-boy:)

Saturday 4:21 pm

Leo sat there, anxiously waiting for a response;  twiddling with his fingers and his leg bouncing.

I hope he replies..what if he thinks I'm weird, or-or-

His thoughts were soon cut off by the buzz of his phone.

Usagi- Hey, Leo! I had to give you my number so we could keep in touch,  I really wanna see what you can do with those sick odachi swords!

Saturday 4:25 pm

Leo- Or, was it because you couldn't resist my charm, rabbit?

Usagi- Says the one who couldn't even keep eye contact with me for over .2 seconds.

Leo- Hey! That's besides the point!

Usagi- Sure, Leo. Sure.

Leo smiled and started kicking his feet and little did he know him and Usagi were on the phone for hours just talking about their crazy lives and obviously, their amazing sword fighter skills.

"Yo, Leo dinners read-"

The softshell barged into his room, now leaning against the doorframe, confused as to who Leo was talking to.

Leo quickly whispered something into his phone and quickly tossed it behind his back. Trying  Not making eye contact with the softshell while his hand held the back of his neck.

"Uhm Leo, who were you just talking to just now on the phone?"  Donnie raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, just the rabbit boy we met in Neo-edo eh..heh"

"Not surprised." Donnie deadpanned, crossing his arms.

"W-What do you mean 'not surprised?'" Leo said nervously.

"Oh, sweet, sweet, Leo, I can read you like a book, because according to my calculations you have a MASSIVE crush on that guy." Donnie smirked.

"I do not!-"

"You do. But don't worry, your little secret is safe with me, my twin."

Leo tried to argue but he couldn't. Donnie was right. Ever since the Krang invasion happened Donnie and him got super close. From that Donnie has been able to tell right away if Leo was feeling anxious, sad, mad, etc. Hell, he was even right about Leo's crush!

Leo smiled and followed Donnie to the kitchen.

Leo.

Usagi didn't want to admit it but he had a major crush on the red slider just from the sight of him. The way the tails of his mask flowed when he talked, his iconic smirk, oh, and the beautiful red stripes on his face.

He was glad he gave him his number, because they ended up calling for hours. And those few hours were the best hours of his life. Just hearing Leo ramble about his crazy siblings had Usagi head over heels for him.

"Hey, Usagi. Are you ok? You've never been this quiet before." Chizu asked politely as she knocked on his door.

He opened the door slowly and said, "Oh yeah! I was just  on the phone with my uh- friend!"

"And who is this friend?" Chizu smirked.

"Leo! The blue turtle from earlier!" Usagi said as a shade of pink appeared on his face.

"Interesting. Well anyways, me, Kitsune , and Gen are heading to the arcade. Wanna come along?"

"You know it!"

Leo rolled over to his dresser to look at the time.

2am.

He sighed and rolled back on his shell to look up at the ceiling.

His insomnia had gotten worse and worse ever since the Krang attack a few months back. Not to mention, the nights when he got nightmares were even worse. He would rather stay up all night then wake up to having a panic attack about the ptsd he had gotten from that.

Maybe I could text Usagi to see if he's up too?

Leo grabbed his phone off his dresser and texted the white rabbit.

Leo- Hey Usagi, you up?

Sunday 2:15 am

He patiently waited to see if Usagi would answer.

Usagi- Hey Leo, what's up?

Sunday 2:20 am

Leo- I can't sleep, could we possibly facetime? I would feel more comfortable if we did...but if you don't want to, it's ok! Really!

Sunday 2:20 am

His phone started buzzing, Usagi was facetiming him.

"Hey! Thanks for calling, I really, really appreciate it."

"No need to thank me, Leo. I know insomnia gets the best of us sometimes!" 

It was now 2:30 and Leo and Usagi were talking till about 3am when they both fell asleep on facetime together.
