004. believe me, i love you

Police officers and their speakers go off with different codes, and paperwork piles on desks. That's what surrounded the two friends, Sidney and Eve both wearing officers jackets. A bandaid was placed on Eve's face, due to the cut that was left. No way Billy could do that to her? Or was it somebody else? Eve just wanted to get some sleep, she could till Sidney was tired from answering questions and so was she. Dewey sat near the two girls typing on his computer, trying to find Sidney's father who had gone missing because nobody could come into contact with him. "Did you find him?" Sidney questions Dewey.

"You sure it was Hilton?"

Sidney nods & with a worried tone "At the airport. It has to be I'm sure of it Dewey."

"Well he's not registered there Sid, could he be staying somewhere else?" Dewey replies trying his best to help Sid. Eve slowly begins to zone out of their conversation, as her eyes trail inside the other room which contains the sheriff, and Billy & his father. As soon as she looked over she was met with Billy's eyes, locked in. Sympathy & worry showed on his face, he mouthed the words 'I love you' & his eyes were glossy which made Eve just turn emotional all over again. Tears began running down her face.

Oh how much she wishes she could run into his arms and close her eyes and open them and wish this nightmare wasn't going on. As the sheriff began talking to Billy and his father, most likely questioning him he turned away. Eve wiped her tears away and looked at Sidney, "I'm sorry Eve this happened to you, it's all my fault." Said Sidney shaking her head.

"How could it possibly be your fault Sid? We don't even know who's doing this,"

In truth, Eve didn't even know who to believe at this point, her boyfriend. No way she didn't want to believe it. What did she do to him? What's the cause of all of this? Anxiety began to grow inside of Eve, shaking her leg and closed her eyes all she wanted to do was sleep and forget about that night. Eve opened her eyes wide when she heard the door opening, two officers escorting Billy from the room.

Their eyes meet again, "Eve!"

"Come on Eve! You know you love me!" This time it was Eve who mouths back at Billy the words, 'I love you' and that's when Billy went silent he knew deep down Eve could never stop loving him. One thing that did surprise Eve was when a hand rested on her shoulder, which caused her to yelp. "Evelyn," She was now face to face with Billy's dad, his sorrowful expression spoke louder than words. "I'm sorry kid,"

"It's okay Mr.Loomis, get home safe." Eve has met Billy's dad before and the two would have small talks with each other, even when Billy's mother left them she would bring Billy and his father gifts. Not to kiss ass but she cared for them like family, as her own and they did the same in return. Soon after Billy's father walks away, blonde hair comes into view Tatum hugs Sidney and Eve from behind.

"You guys okay? We're gonna get you guys out of here okay?" It felt nice getting comforted by Tatum, she truly did care about Sidney and Eve. An inpatient Tatum rolls her eyes before speaking loudly enough for her older brother to hear, "Hey Dewey, can we go home now?"

"Hold on a second," Dewey still talking to the sheriff about the mask and costume.

"God damn it, Dewey!"

Dewey stepped away from the sheriff a bit to turn his way to his sister, "Hey what did Mom tell you? When I'm wearing this badge you're supposed to treat me like a man of the law," Oh lord. Eve couldn't help but chuckle a bit covering her mouth to hide her reaction. "I'm sorry Deputy Dewey boy, but we're ready to go. Now okay?" Eve and Sidney stood up from the comfortable chairs and began making their way to the double doors.
