After 6 hours of flight the whole sully family was tired and desperately praying for their destination to arrive sooner. And to their pleasure it seems Eywa was on their side as they started noticing land coming into view, not just random islands they had seen along the way but a massive island that housed other na'vi. Jake signaled for his family to follow him as he swooped down, searching for the perfect place to land. Tenima stayed in the back, making sure nobody was left behind alongside Neteyam.
Jake's Ikran lowered itself to an open mass of land where all the other Ikrans had plenty of space to land, followed by the rest of his family. Tenima watched as her mother went to grab her bow before Jake signaled her to leave it, so Tenima also decided to leave her weapons. Jake walked with his arms spread out, to show they were not threats.
The Metkayina na'vi watched the outsiders with worry and curiosity as they started gathering around the Sully's. Soon a circle was formed around the forest na'vi. Whispers could be heard from all around, some offensive and others just genuine questions. "Is that supposed to be a tail? It is so small like a baby's!" A tall young Metkayina said with a crackle.
Tenima's ears perked up as she lifted her gaze from the ground to meet the boy's who had made such a comment. There were two boys who could've said it. One that was slightly taller with a bun that adorned his head and a slightly shorter one that had looked as if he was the product of two random sewer fish breeding. Kiri inched closer to her elder sister for comfort and Neteyam who was on her other side moved closer as protection.
While Tenima was looking the taller boy up and down inspecting him as she was pretty sure he was the one to make the comment, her eyes locked onto his. Which were surprisingly already staring straight at the girl with a teasing glint in his oceanic eyes. Tenima just put a scowl on her face before directing her attention to the arriving sea creatures that glided over to them, carrying an adult na'vi on each of them.
The na'vi landed while the rest of the clan made way for them. Judging by the others' body language the Sullys were able to identify them as the clan leaders. Jake signed with his hand 'I see you' while Neytiri copied. The Sully children took this as a sign to follow along with their parents. The male na'vi who they had all guessed was the Olo'eyktan signed 'I see you' back while the Tsahìk did not.
"Why do you come to us, Jake Sully?" The Olo'eyktan asked with confusion evident in his tone. The Olo'eyktan and Tsahìk made their way closer to the forest people before stopping in front of them. "We seek Uturu." He confessed, glancing over at his mate for confirmation. "Uturu?" Their Tsahìk's fierce voice butted in, giving off a defensive demeanor. "A safe place for my family." Jake repeated cautiously.
Tonowari glanced nervously at his mate as the woman walked closer to the tired family. "We are reef people, you are forest people. Your skills will be useless here." Tonowari added with a much calmer approach from his scowling wife. Giggles could be heard throughout the crowd. Tuk subconsciously moved closer to her mother, clinging to her leg with an anxious look on her soft features. Neytiri rubbed comforting circles on her daughter's back but kept her eyes locked on the defensive woman in front of her.
"We will learn your ways, right?" Jake asked while turning back to his family for confirmation, they all subtly nodded. The Tsahìk grabbed onto Neytiri's tail carefully inspecting it before moving on to inspect the rest of the family. "Their arms are thin," Ronal grabbed onto little Tuks arm while gently holding it up. "Their tails," she continued while dropping Tuks arm to then pick up Kiri's tail. "Are weak." She stated while Kiri tugged her tail out of Ronal's grip with an annoyed grunt.
Tenima bit down the offense that was rising in her chest as she watched the Tsahìk insult her and her family's builds. "You will be slow in the water." Ronal eyed Lo'ak's hand before making her way over to him, where he stood next to his father. "These people aren't even true na'vi." She spat begrudgingly before grabbing onto Lo'aks arm and holding it up for her people to see, to which they all let out audible gasps.
