Bakugo Katsuki had never been one for romance. He was more comfortable with explosions and battle plans than with feelings and emotions. But there was something about Todoroki Shoto that made him feel like maybe, just maybe, there was more to life than just fighting.

They had been spending more time together lately, studying and training together. Bakugo liked the way Todoroki always listened to him, taking his advice and criticism seriously. And he had to admit, he enjoyed the way Todoroki's ice quirk complemented his own explosive powers.

But it wasn't until one rainy day that Bakugo realized just how much he cared for Todoroki. They were both soaked through, running from one building to another, when Todoroki slipped and fell in a puddle. Bakugo rushed over to help him up, but Todoroki was shivering and clearly in pain.

Without even thinking, Bakugo took off his own jacket and draped it over Todoroki's shoulders. "Come on, let's get you warmed up," he said gruffly, leading Todoroki to a nearby café.

They ordered hot drinks and sat down at a small table in the corner. Bakugo watched as Todoroki sipped his hot chocolate, his cheeks turning pink from the warmth and the embarrassment.

"Thanks for this, Bakugo," Todoroki said softly, looking up at him with those piercing eyes.

Bakugo felt a sudden urge to reach out and touch him, to let him know that he was there for him. He reached across the table and took Todoroki's hand in his, feeling the coolness of his skin against his own warm fingers.

Todoroki looked down at their joined hands, then back up at Bakugo, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "You know, Bakugo, you're not as scary as you make yourself out to be," he said.

Bakugo rolled his eyes, trying to hide his own smile. "Don't get too comfortable, Icy Hot. I'm still gonna kick your ass in training tomorrow."

Todoroki chuckled softly. "I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Bakugo."

They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, enjoying the warmth and the company. Bakugo felt a sense of contentment wash over him, a feeling he had never experienced before.

As they left the café, the rain had stopped, and the sun was peeking through the clouds. Bakugo looked over at Todoroki, his hair damp and his jacket still wrapped around his shoulders.

"Hey, I know this is gonna sound weird, but... do you want to come over to my room and dry off?" Bakugo blurted out.

Todoroki's eyes widened in surprise, but then he smiled. "Sure, Bakugo. That sounds nice."

They walked back to their dorms, their hands still clasped together. Bakugo could feel his heart beating faster, his nerves and his feelings in a jumble.

But when they got to his room, he found that all of his worries disappeared. He and Todoroki sat on his bed, wrapped in a warm blanket, sipping hot tea and talking about everything and nothing.

Bakugo realized that he didn't need explosions or battles to feel alive. He just needed Todoroki by his side, a steady presence in his life, a sweet explosion of feelings and emotions that he never knew he needed.

As they sat there together, Bakugo found himself feeling more relaxed and content than he ever had before. It was as if the weight of the world had been lifted off his shoulders, and he could just be himself with Todoroki.

He watched as Todoroki sipped his tea, his eyes flickering up to meet Bakugo's every so often. There was a sense of intimacy between them that Bakugo had never felt before, a connection that went beyond just friendship or teamwork.
