Just Say It

CHAPTER 2

Liam "I really don't care for his last name",  is the new guy in school . He is handsome, he is athletic   , he is popul....f#ck it .
In short ,he is everything I am not .Plus he's good at studies.

  So u get it right, why am I frustrated? The only thing I thought I was good at , he had to be good in it too.Seriously, he is one of those feminist Disney Princesses, like Mulan .One who does not need a hero because they are the  hero. I never had a chance .

So here I am , at the cafeteria ,alone. While she is sitting there with him laughing at whatever the hell  he is saying .
U see, El should have been having lunch with me but ever since she started her 'lessons' with Liam , she has been sitting with him and his team  for like half of the lunch break with him. Damn him!

And I gotta say ,the  guy seems to have some mad charming  powers .He became the basketball captain replacing the original , in just 1 month and Roger wasn't even mad that he got  replaced by Liam, even though he is said to have some real temper problems.

  But what  I really don't get is why all girls like swoon over him. He is just good to look at.
Yes he does have a nice face , with sharp features .  He has a deep voice .He is tall too .
U could see the abs through that white t shirt .
And those jeans fit like a second skin to him...

(THUD)

I  quickly came out of my thoughts .

WTF!?

Was i just oogling on my enemy ?

" Hey man, whatcha thinking about?" Ken asks me as he sits beside me with his lunch

"Oh!" Having gross thoughts about my enemy."Nothing just eating my lunch" I say munching on the celery stick.

"Don't lie . We know u were looking at Liam." Joe says while sitting in front of me .
Did they catch me watching him inappropriately ?

Shit! Does that mean someone else could have caught me watching him?

Oh god !

" Really, u shouldn't do this with urself . She's with Liam now. There's nothing u could do." Ken says while putting an empathetic pat on my shoulder.

Oh. Thank god ! They didn't see .

But then I recollect what he said and it makes my stomach sick.
Despite El being my Best friend ,  only these two know about my feelings towards her.

A gleeful laugh made me  turn my head towards the other table .

What the heck are they laughing so loud about?  Is the book thaaat funny? Its French not Archies Comics .

We see Elenore getting up and coming towards our usual table . She has that big grin on her face when she looks at us .

" Y are u  looking at me like that?" She asks , the smile still not fading from the face.
"Were u seriously studying over there ?"  I ask

" Of course!! And talked about other stuff too ,u know."

"I could tell the way u laughed like a hyena"

She  shows her tongue at me and turns towards the guys " Hey boys!!  Sorry. Liam was just telling me about the shelter that just opened  a month ago at the end of city. He went there last week and how a kid accidentally mistook him for chris Evans. He told me how the kid kept crying until poor  Liam had to borrow a tight blue bodysuit with helmet   and pretend to be Captain America for 4 hrs . "
All 3 of them laugh while I sit there grumbling .

Nice! He is even golden at heart. What did I say, a freakin' Disney princess!!

"He said he had a great time  there. " She said looking back at me .
I just nod at her
" He.... uh , asked if I could ... em , go with him ... " I stopped eating.
" And , heh.... I said... yes" she looks at us  with a sheepish smile.

" ARE U INSANE??!!"
Almost the whole cafeteria turns towards me 'cuz of my outburst .  After few seconds i talk keeping my voice low even if the background noise is back to normal.

" U can't ." I state

" What ?" She looks at me. In my peripheral vision i notice  both Kenny and Joe wince.

" U can't go. "

Now worse than a 'occupied' El is the 'angry' El. And believe me u don't want to know her.

"Mind saying that again? " She challanges at me  with a smirk. But the anger is visible in her eyes. I didn't care.I was about to say more when Kenny stopped me.

" What the dickhead here meant to say was that... U r dating the guy for less than a week. Is it such a good idea to go alone with him ? "

I jump in between . " Yes! That's what I meant as well" Joey hides a smile while Kenny looks at me with raised eyebrows .

And  now , just to scare her ...

" U don't know the statistics of young girls being murdered at the outskirts of city by their boyfriends. El it's dangerous. U can't be  alone with him."

" But we are not!!His mom's gonna join us!" She says  lifting her hands up as she is already tired of this conversation .

What?

"What?"

"Yeah! She's gonna drive us there . Stay for 2 days with us   and bring us back  to the City"   She smiles widely like she won the argument. And yes ,she did. What more can I say?

Slowly the smile is replaced with a soft one . She pats my hand as she speaks.
" I know u are worried about me but I liked the guy since he set the foot in the school. i only agreed to date him because of how  I know him these past 2 months and he is a good guy.And this step doesn't scare me. Ok? Plus , as I said . I'm not totally insane to go out with him alone . Yes we did go to that restaurant but only cuz I his uncle owned it. His mom  will be with us , she is the sweetest . U will know when u meet her. "

I just look at her with a stoic expression.
Shouldn't let her  know how I'm feeling right now .

" Please Arnie, could u not be happy for me?"

Soooo sorry for not posting frequently!! Been really busy.
Nobody told me college life will be this hectic!! 😭.
Anyway... Please  continue to check me out ( the story me , not me me 😝)

Our female lead might or might not make an entrance in the next chapter, who knows ?
