Derek had went for Isaac, while Scott and Stiles waited for him in the vet's office.

"What's he doing here?" Scott asked Derek angry.

"I need him" Derek replied.

"I don't trust him" the beta replied.

"Yeah, well, he doesn't trust you either" Isaac told him, Stiles rolled his eyes.

"You know what? And Derek really doesn't care. Now where's the vet? Is he going to help us or not? " Derek asked.

"That depends. Your friend, Jackson. Are we planning to kill him or save him?" Deaton the veterinarian asked them.

"Kill him" "Save him" "Save him" Derek, Scott and Stiles said at the same time.

"Save him" Scott corrected glaring at him then turned to Deaton.

"Watch what you touch" Derek said to his beta who was touching bottles.

"So, what are you? Some kind of witch?" Isaac asked him curious.

"No, I'm a veterinarian, the witch is someone else" he said glancing at Stiles, but nobody noticed "Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin."

"We're open to suggestions" Derek responded.

"What about an effective offense?" Isaac suggested.

"We already tried. I nearly took its head off. And Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up" the Alpha answered.

"Has it shown any weaknesses?" Deaton asked.

"Well, one - it can't swim" Stiles answered him.

"Does that go for Jackson as well?" Deaton asked them.

"No. He's the captain of the swim team" Scott replied.

"Essentially, you're trying to catch two people. A puppet - and a puppeteer. One killed the husband, but the other had to take care of the wife. Do we know why?" the veterinarian asked them.

"I don't think Jackson could do it. His mother died pregnant too, and she was maybe murdered. I think he couldn't let the same thing happen to someone else" Scott stated.

"How do you know it's not part of the rules? The Kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies too" Stiles told his friend.

"Does that mean Isaac's father was a murderer?" Scott asked.

"Wouldn't surprise me if he was" Isaac muttered now depressed.
