Alex was waiting in your small flat when came home late at night. He was happy to see you despite your lateness, he was aware that you'd be swamped today. It was finals all week, and now on Friday night you want nothing more than to curl up by him, fall asleep and stay like that for at least two weeks, even though that wasn't realistic. Since you have been studying so hard you haven't had time to work as many shifts so you had to pick one up tonight, despite knowing Alex was coming over. It bummed you out, but at least you were all his for two days.

"What do you wanna do this weekend baby?" Alex asked you about thirty minutes after you stepped through the door. You were eating a late dinner, it was closer to midnight than to dinner time but you hadn't gotten a chance at school and then your shift. You yawned before you had a chance to answer him.

"Sleep? "He said and you chuckled. You stood up with your plate to wash it when Alex came and held you close by your waist.

"Tough week, eh?"

You shrugged.

"We can stay in all weekend if you want to."

You shook your head. "You don't want that."

"I don't want you being stressed."

"I'm fine Alex. It's just uni it's not the end of the world," you say with a smile.

"I know you've been up at night studying all week, that's not good for anyone."

"I know but I'll manage. I've been doing this for years."

"You need to rest sweetheart. I can see that you're tired."

"Offense taken," you joked and he kissed the top of your head.

"You know what I mean. Let's take it easy for a little while. We don't have to go out or see people or anything. Let me take care of you alright?"

You sighed. "If you insist."

You took your head off his chest and tilted it up to kiss his lips. "I love you."

"I love you too. Let's go to bed."

You nodded and a few minutes later the two of you settled under the covers. Alex spooned you with his arms around your body. You felt yourself truly relaxing for the first time in days.

When you woke up you were in the same position and as you stirred around you woke Alex up as well. He stretched and groaned a bit behind you as you rubbed your eyes. You rolled over and saw his sweet half asleep face, hair all over the place. He flashed a big smile at you.

"Morning sunshine," you told him and giggled. "Did you sleep well?"

He rubbed his eyes as well before he looked like he was actually awake for the first time. "The best. I'm here with yeh," he said and put his arms back around you, pulling you close enough for him to peck your lips.

"I had a dream," he said with a smirk as he rolled his body onto his back and took you with him. You laid on top of him, chest to chest.

"Yeah?"

"You were in it."

You chuckled. "I see. Was it the dirty kind?"

Alex grinned. "Actually no," he said and you faked a surprised face. "It was just sweet."
