Chapter 28

Unknown's POV<3
"Her name is Lexi Benton." I said.

"Oh... Is she the one that's adopted by One Direction?" Jackson asked me.

"Yeah, I believe it's her, but I'm not sure. I'm gonna see in the morning, I know where they live." I explained.

"How?" He asked.

"Well, I met a friend of theirs awhile ago and when I said that my daughter is named Lexi Benton, he told me that a girl with that exact name had been adopted. When I asked who, he told me, 'One Direction' and I broke down in tears. He gave me their address and said that if I was ever gonna get her back, then I would have to go to this address." I finished.

"Let me see it," he held out his hand and I put the piece of paper in it. He looked at it. "2243 Clearwater Drive?" He looked up at me.

"Yup, in New Jersey." He handed me the paper back and I put it in my pocket.

"Does Lexi know that you're still alive? After the car accident?" Jackson asked. I looked over at him and shook my head.

"No, she probably thinks that I'm dead and never coming back. Her father probably put some thoughts into her head to, making the little cheerful daughter that I once had, be negative in a way," I explained.

"So she doesn't even know if her own mother is alive?" Ha asked with wide eyes. Sadly, I shook my head.

"Hopefully those lads of One Direction are treating her right, like she belongs." I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of milk. As I looked at the white substance I burst into tears.

"Mum? Mum what's wrong?" Jackson asked. When he saw me he ran over.

"Milk was always her favorite! I should've just snuck in the house and got her! I'm such a horrible mother!" I cried into his chest as he held me, when I'm supposed to be holding him, my own son! I broke into another fit of sobs. When I was done crying I pulled back. "Thank you, I needed that," I told him.

"Course, after all, you're my mum too you know," he smiled and I gave him a watery smile back.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too," we hugged again as the phone rang.

Lexi's POV<3
"What do you mean my mum's still alive?!" I yelled at the police officer.

"Ma'am, we found a record at the hospital. When she got in the car accident, she lived. She was in a coma for a few days, but other than that she was healthy. She went into a coma from shock and blood loss." He finished. I stared in shook at the man in the blue uniform telling me that my mum was still alive.

"Do you know her number?" I asked him. He nodded and handed me a piece of paper. On it, the number was,

(348)-555-0128 (A/N I made up that number! Sorry if it's real although I doubt it is!)

I thanked the officer and closed the door. I made my way to the lads where they were staring wide eyed at me. "Do you want to see if the numbers real?" Liam asked. I nodded and we all (we being the lads, me, and Angela) walked into the kitchen and Liam handed me the phone. I carefully dialed the number, making sure I got every single digit correct. I pressed the green call button and put the phone to my ear. It rang about 3 times until a woman answered.

"Hello?" She asked. I froze. That's the voice I longed for in my dreams, the voice that I always wanted to hear again.

"Mum?" I said. I felt the tears start to fill my eyes as my vision became blurry.

"Lexi!?" She yelled. I laughed.

"Yeah mum it's me," I wiped away a stay tear that fell.

"Oh Lexi I missed you so much. Your father wouldn't allow me to get you. Then the night came when I got into a car accident. When I was fully healed I tried to go back and get you, but they told me that your father had been arrested and you'd been taken to an orphanage. I looked for you for so long, then when I found the orphanage that you were at they said that you had already been adopted by the One Direction boys." She finished. I could hear that she was crying. "But I still kept looking for you, and it seems that you found me, but I know where you all live," she laughed. I did to.

"No matter what I had this feeling that I would see and hear you again, now it's coming true, but we just have to see each other now," I smiled. I heard her talking to someone on the other end. "Who's that?" I asked.

"Oh, sorry I forgot to tell you! After the accident, I found out that was pregnant and that the baby survived the crash. It was a boy, and he's your brother, Lexi, he's the one that's In Here with me right now," she finished. I had tears going down my cheeks.

"What.... What's his name?" I asked. I closed my eyes, waiting for my mums voice, but I was met with a surprise.

"My names Jackson Lexi," a boys voice said. My eyes flew open. He sounded like he was crying. Couldn't blame him though, he's just finding out that he has a sister and is now talking to her.

"Jackson? As in... My brother?" I stuttered. I heard him laugh, which made me smile. It was just so heartwarming to hear.

"Yeah, your brother," I could basically hear the smile in his voice as he said it. Brother. Now I know I'm not an only child. "Yeah, now I know too." He said.

"Did I just say that out loud?" I asked.

"Yeah you did."

"Oh..." Neither one of us spoke for awhile.

"What's your address?" He asked suddenly.

"What?" I asked, unsure if I heard him right.

"What. Is. Your. Address." He said, sounding out all the words while spacing them apart from each other. I could basically hear his smile as he did though.

"2243 Clearwater Drive." I told him.

"Thanks!" I heard him talking, probably to mum... "Oh, and um, Lexi?" He asked.

"Yeah?" I questioned. I was a little cautious of what he would say next.

"Do mind if we uh... If me and mum come over tomorrow to meet you and the lads?" He asked. I smiled wide. Probably bigger than I ever had in awhile.

"Hold on, let me ask them," I put the phone on my shoulder and turned to the lads. "Do you guys mind if my mums and my brother come over tomorrow?" I asked. I bit my lip. It's become sort of a habit I guess.

"Sure! Yeah, they can come over! Course!" Louis yelled. I laughed and the others agreed with him. I laughed one more time as I put the phone back up to my ear.

"They said yeah," I told him. On the other end, I heard him telling mum excitedly. I the. Heard her yelling in happiness and Jackson yelling too. Once they were done I heard some more shuffling.

"Sorry Lexi I have to go, can I have your number?" He asked.

"Sure!" I told him it.

"Thanks!"

"No problem bro," I said in the most manliest voice I could. I heard him let out a bark of laughter on the other end.

"Bye sis."

"Bye Jackson." We hung up. I put the phone back on the counter in its case and turned to the lads. "I have a brother!" I yelled happily. I danced around for a bit while they laughed. That's when I noticed something wrong, for they weren't looking too happy. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing it's just... Are you going to leave with them once you meet them? And leave us?" Liam asked. I could tell that they all were really close to tears.

"Oh, guys! I wound never leave you! No matter what happens," I pulled them all in for a group hug. Once we pulled back I had to wipe tears from their eyes, as well as my own.

"Promise?" Louis asked, holding up his pinky. I laughed but held up mine as well.

"Forever and always, I promise you guys will always be my dads."
