Draco and Ginny are walking quietly through Nocturn Alley. He's alert and nervous. Draco hasn't been here in over four years. Ginny glances over at him and rolls her eyes. "Relax will you?" She snaps.
Draco stops walking. "Look" he snarls. "I didn't sign up for this. So you cant go treating me like crap. Obviously you need my help so I recommend you show more respect. If you want to get your precious Potter back that is."
Ginny has her back turned to him and slowly turns around. "I believe we made a deal Malfoy." She hisses. Draco gulped. "And if you plan on going back on that deal than..." She shrugged. "However, your life wont be worth living so I would rethink that proclamation."
Draco sighed. "Lead on I guess." He said motioning forward.
Ginny led the way to a dingy old house. It was very out of place amongst the dark shops of nocturn alley. It had black shudders half hanging off of cracked windows. There is a black door with a hole near the bottom. The strangest part though was the color. It was a vibrant florescent blue.
"He lives here?" Draco asked bemused.
Ginny didn't answer and just walked up to the door, Draco looked around, sighed, and followed.
They climbed the unusually tall steps and Ginny knocked on the door. They waited a moment before she knocked again.
"Well" Draco shrugged. "Looks like he's not here. Might as well leave." He turned around and made his way down the steps only to soon realize he wasn't being followed. He turned around. Ginny was gone. "Ginny?" He looked around confused and walked back up the steps. He knocked on the door. Nothing once again. "I swear on Potters grave Ginny." He grumbled with frustration. Though he wouldn't admit it, Draco was slightly worried. Where could she have gone?
The door is thrown open and someone grabs him around the waist. A hand is clamped over his mouth. He tries to shout. (Most definitely not shriek. Malfoys don't shriek.) He struggles but whoever is holding him is very strong. The last thing Draco remembers is smelling something sweet before he succumbs to the darkness.
Draco groans as he turns his head to the side. He slowly opens his eyes. Everything is blurry at first but as it comes in to focus he can see the room he's in. Its huge and elaborate. It has huge ceilings and a ginormous crystal chandelier. There are antique couches and chairs. Possibly the oddest thing that Draco has seen in a house is a collection of animals in cages all around the room. There are lizards, snakes, rats, cats, but mostly owls. So many owls. Draco's eyes are drawn to one owl in particular. Its snowy white and perched above the rest on a gold rod. It reminds him a lot of Harry's owl. "Great now I feel like shit." He muttered.
Draco looks up startled at the sound of the door knob rattling. It opened and in walked Ginny. She looked completely calm and was carrying a glass of water.
Draco was fuming. "You just left and let them kidnap me and then just walk in here like nothing happened! What the hell Ginny!"
She smirked. "You called me Ginny not Weaslette. I consider that an improvement."
(Authors note: This is not a Ginny x Draco fanfic. I don't know why that would even be a thing. Just hold on we will get to the drarry. Enjoy :)
Draco practically growled but didn't say anything.
"Anyway," Ginny continued. "Before you so rudely accosted me,"
Draco opened his mouth to retort. Ginny held up a hand.
"As I was saying, this.." she gestured to Draco's bonds, "is just a precaution."
Draco stared blankly at her.
She rolled her eyes. "You were a death eater Malfoy. We have a right to be cautious."
Draco was really mad now. "Just tell me why the bloody hell I'm here!"
"Because of me." Mad Eye Moody in the flesh. Weird ass eye and all. Draco gaped at him. "But your dead!" Moody chuckled. "Were wizards. We can do what we like." He winked.
Draco blinked at him.
"Now, were wasting time!" Moody pronounced. he held up his arm. "Here Hedwig." The snowy white bird flew down and landed on his arm.
"B..b..but" Draco stammered. "She's supposed to be dead too!"
Moody smirked. "Not anymore mate." "She was hit with the killing curse but, obviously, it didn't kill her. It somehow gave her a strange power. She is the only creature magical, or muggle, who can time travel."
Draco had no words. "Bloody hell."
"Come. Moody motioned to Ginny and Draco. He said a quick spell and Draco's bonds fell away. They gathered around the bird. "Grab her legs. She will take you where you want to go." Draco glanced at Ginny who nodded. They both reached out and put a hand around her legs. "Good luck." Moody nodded to them. They were engulfed in light and disappeared.
