To me, our beautiful family is the very picture of love.
I can't see what our life would be like without him to fight for. Before becoming a parent, I had imagined how difficult the fight for a good future would be, and now I can only see how fighting is everything. Fighting for safety, comfort, equality, understanding. Thankfully it's not such a battle when you have the right amount of support. And we do.
Ours is the most amazing garden in the world.
Life with you by my side is sweet.
I hope to make you feel as sweet as you make me feel every single day.
Know that you have my heart. And if we ever can't see clearly, I'm reminded of the way Buddha said, "...when you like a flower you just pluck it. But when you love a flower, you water it daily."
Every day, as we put the pieces together, we get new pieces, too.
