Sora and Riku had just returned to Destiny Islands, after their latest adventure of saving the world from the darkness that threatened to consume it. They were exhausted, but the adrenaline was still running high from their latest victory.
They sat on the beach, watching the sunset together. Sora had been feeling strange lately, and it had been bothering him. He realized that it wasn't just the battle that had left him feeling this way. There was something more going on, and he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Can you believe it's been a year since we last stood here?" Riku asked, turning to look at Sora.
"It feels like it was just yesterday," Sora replied with a smile. "But we've been through so much since then."
Riku nodded in agreement. "And we couldn't have done it without each other. We make a great team, Sora."
Sora grinned. "Yeah, we do. But you know what? I think we make a great team in more ways than one."
Riku looked at Sora curiously. "What do you mean?"
Sora took a deep breath. "Riku, I know we've been friends for a long time. But lately, I've been feeling like there's something more between us. Something that goes beyond friendship."
Riku's eyes widened in surprise. "Sora, are you saying..."
Sora nodded, taking Riku's hand in his. "I'm saying that I love you, Riku. And I want to be more than just friends."
Riku was speechless for a moment, but then a smile spread across his face. "Sora, I've been feeling the same way. I love you too."
Sora felt his heart skip a beat as Riku leaned in and kissed him gently. It was a soft and tender kiss, but it held so much meaning.
From that moment on, Sora and Riku's relationship blossomed into something beautiful. They continued to travel together and fight against the darkness, but now they did it with a new sense of purpose. They were stronger together, not just as friends, but as partners.
As the days went by, Sora and Riku's love grew stronger. They spent more time together, and their affection for each other only grew. They couldn't get enough of each other, and they were always looking for ways to spend time together.
One evening, as they walked on the beach, Riku turned to Sora and said, "I want to show you something."
He led Sora to a secluded area of the beach, where he had set up a small campfire. The sky was clear, and the stars shone brightly above them. Sora couldn't help but feel the warmth of the fire, and the warmth of Riku's love for him.
"Riku, this is beautiful," Sora said, looking around in awe.
"I wanted to do something special for you," Riku replied, taking Sora's hand.
They sat by the fire, cuddled up together, watching the stars. They talked about their past adventures, their hopes for the future, and everything in between. Sora had never felt so close to anyone in his life, and he knew that Riku felt the same way.
As the night wore on, Sora could feel himself growing tired. He leaned his head on Riku's shoulder and closed his eyes. Riku wrapped his arms around him, holding him close.
"Sora," Riku whispered. "I have something I want to ask you."
Sora opened his eyes, looking up at Riku. "What is it?"
Riku took a deep breath. "Sora, I love you more than anything "
And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"
