-Error's POV-

Actually what if someone's in there who would be able to help me. Ink wouldn't accept help, he adores it here.

I feel more eager to go inside as Ink knocks repetitively.

Suddenly we hear a click and the door slowly opens. Ink and I stare wide eyed at a short boy with a golden crown and light blond hair.

Goldy locks stares right back at us before smiling warmly and opening the door all the way.

"Hola, eh, uh, travelers! What you doing outside so late at night? It's very dangerous." Goldy locks says waving his hand to invite us in.

Ink was practically skipped into the cabin while I hesitated. I thought it was common knowledge not to enter a strangers house nor invite strangers in your house.

That stupid skittle doesn't have common sense.

I step slowly through the door. It is very warm in here. Something in me just felt calmer.
It's a good bet this guy could help us.

Goldy locks quickly locks the door behind us.
"Would you like coffee? Or I can get you some tea, maybe cocoa? Or some food?"

Ink nods many times asking questions left and right. None of which were useful.

Goldy locks smiles sheepishly grabbing a few mugs and urging Ink to sit at the dining table.

This boy seems normal. I feel much more safe.

"My name is Dream. And you?" Goldy locks- I mean Dream asks.

"Oh! My names Ink, and that's Error! He may be a little mean at first but he's a sweetheart. I've never seen such a nice cabin! It's so warm and sweet in here. It's all so pretty, it would make a good painting. Do you have colored pencils? We've been walking for.. wait did you know your hair is pretty? My names Ink. Are like a king cause you have a crown and that's really weird."

I cut Ink off by covering his mouth with my hand. Dream watched as he chose a nice tea bag, and some hot chocolates as we actually never gave him an answer on what we wanted.

"I guess, your from Selenite high, yes?" Dream asks passing me a warm cup of water and a smaller cup of cocoa mix.

Ink fiddles with his cup distracted while I just dumped all the cocoa in my cup.

"Yes. We are.." I respond. There's so much more I'd like to ask. Dream obviously knows a ton.

I stiffen as Dream pulls a chair over next to me and puts his tea bag in his cup.

"Its been long since I had high schoolers."

It's silent for a good moment before Ink decides to ruin it.

"Can you explain what happens to them and us? I want to know about our adventure!"
Ink says excited.

"Adventure? What adventure?" I asked furrowing my brows. That doesn't sound good.

"This world doesn't like travelers. But balance makes this world happy. The thing you call adventure would be restoring balance or you would be drained of.. power?" Dream explains while offering biscuits.

I turn down the offer with a wave of my hand while Ink stuffs his face.

With his mouth still full, he continues to talk.
"I wanted to know how to restore this balance?"

Dream seemed to become nervous.
"Later I tell. You must sleep. Must be so tired. At least have one night of full sleep before being bothered by such issues."

Ink shrugs and chugs his hot cocoa.

"Does that mean no one before us was able to restore that peace?" I ask, almost angry.

"Yes. No one here wants to fix it as it doesn't affect them so this world takes others from other worlds and gives them tree outcomes. Die, fix it, or die trying." Dream says slowly holding his tea in his thin hands.

I sit perfectly still. Dream let's out a breathy sigh. "Come now. Both of you. It's very late. Bring your cocoa. I'll lead you both to the spare bedroom."

Ink hops up. He seems so unbothered.
Does he ever get tired?

Dream puts his hands on my shoulders and offers to help me up. Of course I reject. Why am I acting so comfortable around this stranger? I've never even met him before.

I stand up almost knocking the chair down. Dream caught it and pushed it back to the table.

I stare down at my cocoa watching it move with my movement.

Dream swiftly but slowly heads up the stairs glancing back to make sure we were behind him as Ink was getting distracted by every other thing.

Ink stood right next to be as Dream unlocked a old looking door at the end of the hallway.
Inside was two beds on opposite sides of the room, a single rug, and a small dusty window.

Ink frowned at the condition of the room.

"I'm not sharing a room with him." I state, horrified. I've lived in rooms like this and don't have a problem with it, but I do have a big problem with brainless here next to me.

"Trust me. It's best no one knows your here. It's very dangerous, especially as your not local." Dream said urging us in.

We were passed a dull candle and then had the door closed. A big part of me wanted to argue but this was all so confusing and happening so fast.

I rub my hands together and sit on one of the old beds. Ink sits on the on across from me.

"This is a amazing opportunity." Ink says moving his blankets around.

My body is rigid. "How could this possibly be a good opportunity. We could die."

Ink shrugs, "Who knows. We could be rewarded and see a whole new world."

"You don't need to worry! I'll protect you for now." Ink continues as he puts his head on his pillow.

I don't move from my spot. There's many boxes up here. With much hesitation, I slide down to the floor in front of a box.

Upon opening it, I see clothes. All types.

They all look kinda old. This catches Ink's attention as he springs out of bed.

"Look at that! Clues." He says pulling out a football jersey. On the back it clearly had a school logo on it. My schools logo.

I move around and open all the boxes.

Just as I had guessed. Clothes. I feel sick going through others clothes. People who I'm guessing are the same as us.

Ink keeps going through the clothes while I just crawl in bed. I close my eyes as tight as possible but I won't fall asleep for a long time.

Ink doesn't stop for a long while, but when he does, he folds the clothes and returns them in there correct boxes.

I listen to him laying down in bed. The dumbo can't be quiet for two seconds.

When I feel more confident to drift off to sleep I'm interrupted by snoring.
