❝Aly. Baby..honey..my love, come on out. You know I'd never hurt you.❞

Alchemy was stuck there, a burning sensation rising to her throat. How did he find her? Why? When? Her orbs travelled over to where Doctor laid, still as can be. She couldn't call for him even if she wanted to, he would hear her voice. She had to be as still and quiet as possible.

Is this how she was going to die? To this bastard's hands? Was it really her time?

Hell no, not tonight. She slowly shuffled away from the room's door, swallowing to keep whatever was left in her stomach down, not remembering how long ago she ate. Alchemy was starting to sweat, her breathing now out of control the farther away she got from the entrance. Can one die of fear? Her heart was starting to fly away and her lungs burned, tears suddenly gushing out of her eyes. Everything in the room was blurring. Alchemy gripped her hair, running her hands through it. She wanted to rip it out.

To destroy everything.

To destroy him

Alchemy tightly shut her eyes, shaking, as she curled up. He was banging on the door now, yelling. This woke up The Doctor, as he sat up in a sudden daze and confusion. He immediately gathered himself, however, after seeing Alchemy at the end of his bed.

❝Al-❞ He was immediately hushed as Alchemy suddenly whipped around, holding a finger up to her lips with a crazed look in her eyes. The Doctor was taken aback, both looking towards the door as violent banging began.

❝I CAN HEAR YOU IN THERE! YOU WHORE, GET OUT HERE! YOU'VE RUN OUT OF PLACES TO RUN! TO HIDE! I TOLD YOU, I WOULD GET YOU!❞

Alchemy covered her ears, shaking her head. Doctor crouched beside her, gently pulling her close.

❝We need to go-! We can't just stay here-❞ Alchemy had turned when he spoke, gripping his clothing.

He. Is. Going. To. KILL US.❞ She managed through gritted teeth. The Doctor almost flinched back by her sudden aggression, but still held her none-the-less.

❝I won't let him, Alchemy. We'll leave through the window if we must-❞

❝We are several stories UP, DOCTOR!❞ Alchemy replied, whisper-shouting.

❝Alchemy. Do you trust me?❞

The two sat there in silence for a moment, before Alchemy nodded.

❝Good, because you're really going to have to hold on for this one. He'll be held off for a few moments, trust me. He's mainly bark, barely any bite. Put on your shoes, gather your belongings, quickly. I'll stand guard.❞ Doctor slightly nudged Alchemy to get her going. Were they really focusing on their belongings first rather than their lives? Yes. Is this logical? No. Do I care? Not really, I'm simply the one writing and releasing chapters.

Once everything was gathered and they were ready, Doctor quietly opened the window. He was still screaming as he began to kick the door, which jolted harshly every time. This frightened Alchemy as she stayed close to The Doctor.

From one glance, it looked like a long way down.

Too long.

❝Alright, I'm going to wrap my arms around you, pick you up, and keep you close to me. Alright? I recommend closing your eyes for this bit, it may elevate your stress - which is already heightened enough. Are you ready, Alchemy?❞

Nodding since she couldn't muster up any words, she felt herself become one in The Doctor's grasp. All of a sudden, the only thing she could feel was a sudden whoosh of air and the feeling of dropping. Quickly.

In that last moment before her vision became pitch dark, she took one last glance at the door.

...

It was finally unmoving.
