It's been about a few days since the battle and Ghezo had sent a few more warriors to protect the palm oil production and to protect the trading roads from thieves.

My brother was sure to have a grip on things and after our expansion last year, this was just another step for us.

But currently, all of our other warriors were training individually or as partners, sharpening their skills and such, Nanisca was nowhere to be found, but this was normal, the woman always preferred to train alone, and this was no exception.

As we watched everyone train, new palace drama being spread with my brother's wives, I decided to listen in.

"Mhm, but next week the Yoruba king and his daughters will be staying with us," Shante said, an accidental sigh leaving my lips.

"What's the matter, Princess?" The woman asked "nothing, I'm just not fond of the two twins from there" I stated.

"I'm not either, and their father is great but he hasn't taught those two any sort of value of discipline" another stated, the woman now continuing with the subject, also telling me how they'd be there for me if something were wrong, which I guess was kind of them to say.

But after a while of the sun going up in temperature, I walked back into the palace, deciding to cool myself down in my bath, but before I made it to my room, I saw Nanisca walking, obviously seeming a bit tired.

"Kpojito! (Woman king)" I called out, the woman turning towards me.

"Princess?" "Can I talk to you? We can cool down in my bath if you'd like" I offered, the woman taking a moment to think before silently nodding her head, the two of us walked to my room where we had gotten into my bath, the size just big enough to have five people comfortably in it.

Now in the cool water, the two of us letting out sighs, Nanisca had spoken up.

"So, what is it you wanted to talk about? I'm sure taking a dip with an old woman wasn't on your schedule" Nanisca joked with a grin.

"You never know, but it has been a while since we've truly talked without the formalities," I say, which was true in a sense.

"That may be true, but I think you have a question about one of my Agojie," Nanisca said, the woman knowing how to read me like an open book.

"You knew?" "Princess, it's very obvious" Nanisca laughed, embarrassment flooding in as I sunk into the water a bit, now feeling it on my neck.

"Don't be embarrassed, Izogie's very fond of you" "she may, but shouldn't this be forbidden? I don't want to cause anything that may hurt our kingdom" I stated, scared of the backlash we may cause.

"Y/n, you are a princess, and your brother is a great king, if someone wanted to cause anything then I wouldn't mind beheading them for you"

At Nanisca's words, I started to laugh, mostly at the irony because the woman was very traditional.

"That's funny coming from someone who loves culture and rules," I say, hearing the woman suck her teeth at me.

"I may follow the rules, but I follow the king's rules, and if he has no problem with this, then why should I?" Nanisca explained, making me feel hopeful a bit.

"But, you should understand that even though you two are free to continue this, you need to understand that with being an Agojie, Izogie won't always come back with a simple gashing of her arm or just unscathed, and you need to understand this before continuing"

Once Nanisca had put things into perspective, I had fallen silent, truly thinking about the possibilities.

But while stuck in thought, I guess Nanisca had realized, the woman coming over to me, the water swaying a little.

"But she is the strongest warrior I know, and after dealing with the white man and the Oyo, I'm sure she'll be okay" Nanisca stated before getting out of the water, helping me up as well.

"Anyways, I need to go and make sure these fools are training, but you should come and train with me again, it may give you something to do instead of listening to the same palace drama all day"

"I'll think about it," I say, seeing Nanisca was already dressed, hugging me once I was dressed before leaving me to my thoughts and company.
