Who am I?

The king blessed his people goodbye and everybody left after the ball. The Duke and his daughter were invited to stay with the royal family to discuss some issues. One of the guards was going to be executed tomorrow because he had an affair with the other dukes daughter. I wasn't surprised when I heard the duke killed his daughter because she gave him shame to the family, after all these people never even heard the word mercy or love before. Poor guard, his name is Olson Wean. I didn't talk to him most often, but he seemed like a nice guy.

 After the royal family left to their rooms, I was of to my dorm. I greeted some of the mates and headed to my room. I closed the door and took off my armor. I wore my thick pajamas, since it was chilly. I looked in the mirror and brushed my hair. I stared in the mirror then glanced at my necklace. The curve of the letter x on it is definitely the symbol of Nevernia. How come I didn't recognize that before? I'm definitely good in history and very  erudite in knowing every street in the providence.

I woke up after a horrible nightmare, and decided to wear my armor for comfort. It was 2 am according the hallway clock. Guards weren't allowed to be up unless they were assigned too.

I passed through the hallway and took my step for no one to hear me. I opened the kitchen door and went outside the guard arena.

I smelled the fresh air until it reached to my lungs. The wind howled through my long hair. I stared into the clear sky, looking at the sparkle stars giving some cheer. I wonder how many people look at the sky and wish for hope?

I wondered about my necklace. What about my past made me end up into the providence? I sat down on the bench, ignoring everything around me, but the hopeful dark sky. I wondered if my family were alive. Do they even know I exist, or are they even Alive? I am surely 100% I am no royal daughter or a citizen of Nevernia.

I suddenly heard a sound behind me.

I held my sword

Prince Asher stood in front of me. He wasn't wearing his normal Military uniform, he was wearing a casual Tunic with clean ends.

"Midnight escape" he said.

"I needed some air"

"Aha, our conversation about the necklace have conquered you"

"Confused me, actually"

"Why so?"

He sat down next to me.

I took a deep breath.

"Its just, that all my life I lived as an orphan, raised by a man, who never gave me any love, because love does not exist.

"Is that so?"

"Yes, I never loved anyone in this world because no one can be trusted, everyone betrays everyone for their own deed, I don't even trust myself.

He sighted and looked at me.

"May I call you Vera, just Vera?"

I gulped and nodded.

"Very well Vera, now you call me Ash"

"Very well, Ash" I joked.

He stood from his seat.

"From now on, you have someone who cares about you, and that person will do anything to see what love is and that life isn't just about betrayal"

I sighted, and stood from the bench to stare at his green eyes.

"Well Ash, nice for us to become friends, because I was planning to get myself in trouble again"

He gave a light chuckle.

"What kind of trouble?"

"You want us to friends right?"

"Right"

"Then you need to help me find out who am I....
