Identity

They dragged me and Zain into the throne room.  The king stood in front of us, he's eyes focused on mine. I heard Ash yelling outside the hallway, demanding to get in, but the king ignored his plea. The king stood from his throne, the Queen entered from the back door, behind her was Lord Macklin. Lord Maclin, know as the most brutal man in the providence, after the king of course.

The queen stood next to the king, while Lord Maclin behind her.

"What's wrong Trimson?"

The king gave a sly smile to the queen.

"You wont believe what I found"

The queen blinked her eyes with curiosity.

The king now looked at Zain.

"Take him away"

They took Zain away, leaving me by myself with two guards pulling me from my arms.

"Let her go"

They let me go.

I stood from my feet and faced them.

"What do you want from me?"

The king gave a light chuckle.

"You girl do not belong to this providence, and you know quite well what happens to people who are not from the providence"

"If you want to kill me, go ahead i'm not afraid from a bastard like you"

The king slammed his hands to the table.

"Your temper will get you into serious trouble"

I gave him a brave smile. "It already has"

"What will we do with her?" asked Lord Maclin.

"Hmm"

"I presume that we either execute her with the new poison we found in the cave alley or chop her head publically "cheered the lord.

This guy is sick minded.

The king sat in his throne with a heavy mind.

"I got it"

The king stood next to his wife

"You my dear"

Is he seriously now calling me my dear?

"You will not be executed or tied for treason"

I gulped

The doors opened and Ash came in.

"I demand to know what are you doing with her, please father, she doesn't deserve torture.

the King gave a wide laugh.

"Oh son, who said anything about torture. He narrowed his eyes from Ash to me.

"What is your name dear?"

Here we go again with dear.

"What?, you want to know my name before you cut me in half?"

"Who said anything about that?"

I sighted. "Vera"

"Vera, Vera, Vera...."he repeated.

Ash looked at me, his eyes telling me its going to be okay. But I wasn't afraid of anything the king is going to do to me, it wont be worse then any other torture he ever did to someone.

"Lady Vera, since your features recognizes you as not a citizen of the providence, you will honor your kingdom of Nevernia as a symbol of peace between us all"

My mouth dropped open.

Ash looked at the king, confused.

"I beg your Pardon, how do you-"

"You really think I don't see everything my son does, every movement my staffs and guards do, ever single moment in this palace is watched"

The queen came closer to me.

"You are now the lost princess of the kingdom of Nevernia, and our peace  Symbol, Welcome to your new home, Lady Veranetta"

My eyes widen .
