I mindlinked the pack worriers and sent out a search party on and beyond the borders of the pack. I wasn't going to stop until I found him. I couldn't lose him especially not now.
I haven't told him yet. I thought to myself as a tear escaped my eyes.

I needed to go for a run. I jumped through the bedroom window turning mid air I didn't even care that my clothes were all torn up now. I just needed to clear my mind.

My mate is gone. Like he was never here to begin with.

I went out for a run to get my mind off of things. I ran until I was at the river near the pack borders, making sure to tell the beta where I was so he can send out troopers to ensure nothing goes wrong. Both leaders of the pack can't go missing.

I walked towards the water ready to take a dive in to cool off. But then a scent hit my nose, the same scent that got me into this pack in the first place.

Mate..

I sniffed and sniffed and sniffed but I ended up right back at the foot of the water. I was confused , but I looked out into the water, there was a figure sat on a big rock in the middle of the water with a blue glowing ring around it... Mate?

What is he doing, how is he doing that, what is that ring? Has he been captured?.

I tried shouting his name to see if he could hear me, but he didn't. So I tried the mind link

"Jake?what are you doing, can you hear me??"

'Ha-Hailey? Where are you I can't see you'

"Turn around" and he did, there was no witch
He jumped into the water and begin swimming towards me. I watched cautiously still.
Expecting him to turn into something out of the ordinary. But he didn't
The ring remained around him.
He just engulfed me in a hug like he didn't just have me thinking I lost him.

It was beginning to worry me so I asked "do you see that?"
'What'
Of course he doesn't.

"There's a blue ring around you and you're telling me you can't see it?"

'What blue ring'

Great, just when I though life was about to get the least bit normal it got a whole lot weirder.

"Okay forget it let's go home"
