RANIA'S POV:

To say life is full of surprises would be understatement for me,its more like shocks.My life couldn't be any more worse,I thought to myself coming out of the conference hall(definitely not mine) slamming the door shut.

20 Minutes Ago,

"That's it for today,ladies and gentlemen.Dismissed".My dad dismissed everyone in the conference hall.As usual everyone including me started to collect our thing to make our way out of conference hall.

"Rania dear,you stay".I was confused, why my dad called me with my first name.He knew how to maintain work ethics and he also taught me so,we used to call each other as "Ms.Ahmed" and"Mr.Ali" at work.

"Yes,Dad?"I said. I was confused again what to call him so the word dad came out as a question.
"Dear,I wanted to talk to you about something".

"yes,Dad say it,I'm all ears"I said. I was extremely hungry bcz I couldn't do my breakfast and I didn't want to skip lunch also.

"well,actuallyy....".He said while fidgetting the thoughts and I could see that.

"COME ON,DAD,.....don't beat around the bush".I was getting anxious now.I took a sip of water from my water bottle.

"Okay then, I've found a nice guy for you,dear it's time for you to settle down."He said casually and I chocked on water.

"WHAT???"I asked shocked.
"Yeah!you heard it right.you are marrying "He said.

"NOOO WAYYYY DAD,I've not even completed my studies yet,I've just entered university,mom is not feeling well from weeks and is hospitalized and Rayyan (rania's younger brother) is just a high schooler,how can I possibly leave him on his own when he's my only sibling".I said shocked and little angrily.

"See dear,you are working as an intern for (Ali Ahmed and CO.)for over 6 months so,you yourself know,our business is not going well,we are nearly broke now.Today we came here in your Aunt faiza's company to convince investors,but I don't think,they were even convinced a little".Dad said.

"But dad,how can my marriage will solve this problem?".I was genuinely confused and irritated now.My dad had always been a wonderful dad to me and my family, then why is he forcing this marriage on me.What made him change.

"Your marriage will not solve this problem ,but I can rest assured,and your mother is on her death dead,she would be extremely happy to see her daughter getting married".He said and I covered my mouth with hand, shock evident in my eyes.Dad loved mom alot then,why did he has to say those brutal words.

"Daddddd!!!!!How can you even say that? she is your wife too."I spat.
Dad was going to say something when door of the conference hall creaked a little and Aunt Faiza entered.

Aunt Faiza is my mother's college friend.They have been together in all joys and sorrows.They both are more like sisters.She has been separated from her husband and has one child (wahaj).Even me and wahaj were like real siblings .Wahaj is nearly my age.Aunt faiza always has been a motherly figure to me.I instantly run to her and hugged her.I started crying in her arms.

"Aunt Faiza,Dad wants me to marry some random stranger....".I stated within my sobes.
"Shhhh....it's okay Rania ,your Dad is right.Your mom is not well.That's for the best".She said hugging me back.It felt good to be loved.
