The last two weeks flew by like nothing and tonight we get on the plane to Germany. I'm excited about being back on stage again, but I also am anxious since it has been some time since I've been in front of such a big crowd.
"Babe, have you seen my-" Y/n cuts herself off mid-sentence when she walks into the living room. "Have I seen your what?" I ask, turning around to meet her eyes. She's leaning against the door frame with one arm, her hip pushing just the slightest bit in the other direction, her bottom lip between her teeth. Her eyes scan my body as I walk up to her. "You know what doesn't matter." She shrugs and pulls me closer with one hand on my waist. "What are you smiling at?" I ask once the distance between us is practically nonexistent. "Can't I smile at my beautiful girlfriend?" She questions rhetorically, twirling a strand of my hair around her finger.
About three hours later, we are at the airport, on our way to get on the plane. Our luggage is already on board, so we only have our carry-ons and the dogs. Sometimes I feel bad for making them travel practically everywhere, but they have by now adapted to it and are less to not nervous at all about flying. I have also done quite a lot of research on whether it is alright for them to go on planes.
Since our flight is going at night, Y/n and I use most of the time sleeping, knowing very well that our sleep schedule is going to be one hell of a mess when the tour is over.
It is giving me a bit of a dejà-vu from our flight to L.A. just about two months ago. She and I cuddling on this exact plane in the exact same place, the dogs peacefully asleep by our feet and just a bit of the rising sun beaming in through the window.
I really hate it when people make a big business out of me being somewhere, but unfortunately I can't do anything about having the police accompanying us on our way to the hotel. The place is already crowded when we get there and here again, police everywhere, securing the area. Our luggage is in a different car and has already been brought inside by some of my people, which makes us transferring inside a lot less stressful.
Y/n opens the door for me and helps me outside, the cameras already flashing. Y/n sweetly takes off her sunglasses and places them on my face instead. I wave at some cameras on the way inside and sign some things as well. As much as people can get annoying when things like these are happening, I am quite thankful that nothing happens and everything goes smoothly.
Bobby checks us in and hands us the key cards to our room. The ride on the elevator is a welcome quiet place. "You okay?" Y/n asks me, my head is resting against her shoulder. I sigh. "Yeah, it's been a while since me arriving somewhere has been that big of a deal." I let out a breathy laugh.
"If you ask me, they should have had a red carpet for you." Y/n jokes. "And people who carry you everywhere." She adds. I laugh. "Why would I need anyone to carry me if I have you?" I ask her and she blushes slightly. "If that's what you want, princess." She smirks and lifts me up, carrying me bridal-style out of the elevator and into our room, where she then throws me over her shoulder casually.
"Put me down!" I manage to get out between giggles and she eventually throws me onto the mattress. She hovers over me, her hands next to my head, holding her up. "I thought you wanted me to carry you everywhere?" She cocks an eyebrow, smiling at me like a fool, which I am probably doing too. "Shut up," I whisper and grab her jaw, pulling her in for a slow kiss. "Do you wanna get something to eat?" She asks me once our lips part. "Sure, what do you want?" I ask and she gets off me and the bed, grabbing some sort of paper from one of the tables in the room, before sitting down on the bed again, leaning against the headboard. I turn to lay on my stomach, propping myself up with one arm.
"Uh, let's see... they have pasta, barbecue, fish, soups, pizza..." She reads, flipping through the pages of what seems to be the menu card for room service.
We settle on the barbecue which arrives at our room about half an hour later, giving us time to unpack. An hour or two later, the crowd of people is gone, only about twenty people still around the place, and Y/n and I decide to take the opportunity to explore the area a bit more.
Turns out that there is a park not too far away and we choose to explore there for a bit, before heading back to our room. The first concert is the day after tomorrow and we are gonna start setting up tomorrow morning before we do rehearsals the whole day. I really want everything to go smoothly, so I am nervous about the rehearsals and setting up the whole tech because we'd have a problem if we need to change something last minute.
The rest of the day flies by and in the evening, Y/n and I are cuddling on the bed, the dogs having declared the couch as theirs. The TV is playing but neither of us is really paying attention to it, her being busy reading a book and me being a bit wrapped up in my own thoughts. Eventually, my eyes fall closed and my racing thoughts come to an end, sleep taking over me.
A/N Sorry for not updating last week, I was a bit occupied. I am also not sure how updates are gonna go for the next weeks, since I am not in the best state of mind at the moment, but I will try my best to update regularly.
Love y'all and stay safe
