"Fuck she's late" you said under your breath.

It was a Saturday 12:23pm and Elizabeth Olsen was no where to be seen. You even got to the office thirty minutes early just so you could set up the office with a few new things such as more snacks for clients and you even replaced your old stress toys that the younger kids like to play with.

Although you had a upcoming headache which you knew would turn into a migraine later on you still tried your hardest for each client. They hardly ever missed sessions and when they did they always informed the day before or a few hours before the session starts but nooooooo-

This woman has to be so different.  "Knock knock"

Only one human would say knock knock when knocking on a damn door "yes Adam?" You said as you turned to face the door where your best friends blond hair peaked through before his entire face peaked through your door. "I thought you had a client today or are you just here to sulk?" You rolled your eyes.

You've been doing that a lot lately, maybe Tristan does get it from you. "She has decided to be late today so I'm just waiting for her to show up or a phone call" Adam nodded in understanding before walking in your office and sitting down next to you on the couch.

The two of you decided to talk for a few minuets. You missed this.

The feeling of pure happiness that radiates off Adam. He was very energetic and very loud but most of all he was a good friend. He was there for you when you had no idea what you were going to do when your ex wife got pregnant, he was also there when you had to stay up late nights with Tristan and go to work early in the morning. He was there to listen to your rants about how people still look down on you even though you've done exceptionally well for yourself especially at a young age.

In short Adam was a good best friend so it was no surprise to you that it was easy to get carried away with him. When you looked up at the clock it was already 12:51pm meaning you had been talking for over half an hour but also meant that Mrs Olsen missed her session without phoning you or emailing you or texting you. "Oo looks like your client skipped, did they send you a message?" You quickly opened your phone hoping you would see a text message from an unknown number since you were the one that gave your number to Elizabeth's manager and she hadn't texted you before so you wouldn't have her number saved.

But lucky you there was no text or no email. "No she didn't, I really don't want to have to put this on the record it would take like a whole hour to do that" you whined in annoyance knowing the protocol. Adam grabbed your phone which you didn't really mind and he scrolled for a while before-

"Are you sure she even has your number to even contact?" You turned fully over to face him. "Yes I gave her manager my number"

"That's the manager not the client so call the manager and see if she gave her the number"

You rolled your eyes once more. You were about to say it wasn't that important but it actually was. You would hate yourself if the reason she didn't attend therapy was because something serious happened to her so just so it doesn't weigh on your mind later you would just get it done now.

You pulled up your contacts and dialled the one labelled 'clients manager'

You were absolutely shit at coming up with contact names. The phone began to ring and not so long after the line was picked up "hello?" It was Elizabeth's manager "hi um, it's me y/n I just wanted to know if you passed my number onto Mrs Olsen so she could contact me whenever needed?"

The manager seemed to have choked on whatever she was drinking, maybe coffee

Business people tend to drink a lot of coffee. You didn't understand the obsession with it. Maybe it really does give them energy, you took note to at least give it a try at some point in your life. "Oh my I am so sorry I forgot- shit, I'll send it to her no-"
