You shifted under the covers that were literally causing you to sweat like never before. "Stop moving Mama" a little voice muffled, you were quite surprised realising you weren't in your bed alone but in-fact your son was latched onto you underneath the covers. You pushed the weighted blanket off the two of you and rubbed your eyes trying to wake up.
You looked down at Tristan who's hair was really growing, it was basically nearly touching his eyes and even though that may seem like not a problem but it really was since he Literally had his hair cut not so long ago.You smiled and ruffled his hair making him groan "we gotta get your hair cut today Bubs alright" the boy only shook his head before pressing his face into your stomach which he did regularly whenever he was in bed with you.
You turned to your bedside table to see the small clock which read 12:34pm JESUS! How in the world did you sleep so long. You thought you had grown out of the whole sleeping until noon stage but clearly not. Bedside the clock was also a framed picture which brought nothing but pure joy into your heart. It was a photo of you and Elizabeth, she was doing her adorable nose scrunch as usual which you would always tell her made you fall even more in love with her but she honestly had no clue why you found it so adorable.
Speaking of Elizabeth. It might be better to clear things up as to what happened the day she left.
—— Monday 6:45pn ——
After Lizzie had left the restaurant you didn't move a muscle. Not until the same waiter came back with a more worried expression. "Ma'am we are closing in about five minutes" the man stared at you waiting for an answer but you still stood in that same position not even acknowledging him. "Uh? Do you have a ride home? If not I can try and help you call an Uber if needed? Ma'am?" The waiter poked you with his pen which startled you back into reality.
"Huh! What?" The man repeated his last words to you again asking if you needed any assistance getting home but you waved it off and told him you would walk. You honestly didn't feel like driving, although it was extremely dangerous to leave your car at the restaurant you could always pick it back up in the morning after Mark or Riley drop Tristan off to you.
You walked out the restaurant still feeling a huge sense of guilt pile in your stomach. You couldn't help but feel like all of this could have been avoided if you would have just told her what was going on, but you didn't want to have to rely on her for everything, for fuck sake the woman literally got you the job of your dreams. You continued to walk not even knowing where you were going. It was getting dark quite quick and it looked as though it was going to rain soon but honestly
You didn't care.
You had ruined everything all because you didn't do one thing, and now the love of your life was going all the way to New York for god knows how long even though you two agreed this is only a minor break in your relationship you never know what could happen. What if she meets someone else out there, and what if the person treats her all the ways she's wants to be treated and she never comes back. What if she falls out of love for you. What if you fall out of love for her?
No no no no clam down y/n
That could never happen. You love Lizzie, you knew you would do anything for her but right now it felt like there was nothing you could do but wait patiently for her to return.
Your fingers dug deep into the palm of your hands and your skin began to shiver because of the sudden drop in temperature and as if all of that wasn't enough it began to pour down with rain. You stopped walking, you looked around not recognising the area, you knew you were far from home and also too far from your mothers house so it's either you walk back to the restaurant and get back in your car like a grown adult would do or just stay here and catch a terrible cold.
