Chapter 14: The Interview

"What are you talking about??" I overhear Matthew talking on the phone. I get up from my bed and lean against the door.

"You really want to know what I hear from you? Gibberish." Matthew snaps. His voice cold. He runs his free hand through his hair.

"Leave Kenz out of this." He growls and hangs up after a moment.

He looks over at my door, but it's too late because I'm already behind it.

"Damn it." I hear a growl coming from Matthew.

"What's up?" I hear Sammy's voice.

I hear low murmurs and can't understand what they're saying due to the fact that someone is mowing their stupid lawn outside. I growl.

"I don't trust it." I hear Jack's voice after the motor stops.

"We'll figure something out." Matthew growls at him. I throw on some jean shorts, a long T-Shirt, and my black toms. My hair is put up into a ponytail, and I open my door pretending like I wasn't there.

"HEYYYYYYYYY" They all say with wide smiles on their faces. I look at them weirdly and walk up to them.

"Hey girl." Jack playfully punches my shoulder.

"What's up with you guys?" I ask narrowing my eyes at them.

"Nothing. Jack, shut up." Sammy rolls his eyes at him. Jack gives a cheesy smile and puts his hands in the air as if guilty.

I roll my eyes and shrug. I walk past them downstairs.

"When are you girls leaving for Girl's night tomorrow?" Matthew asks.

"Uhmm.. Maybe around 5:30. Depends on Carolina and Tiff." I say.

"Why do you care??" Carolina asks coming out of her room and following after me.

Jack Johnson walks out of his room "Because the guys of the house gotta protect their girls." He says throwing his arms in the air screaming so everyone can hear.

"Oh. I thought we were all girls." Tiffany follows after him and heads downstairs.

"TIFF HAS JOKES." Jack and the boys start arguing and talking over each other. I laugh and sit down.

"Tell her." Jack growls at Matt.

"You do it." He snaps.

"OMG... KENZ??" Sammy yells from atop the stairs.

"What?" I snap getting annoyed.
