School was not that interesting. I met a girl named Evangeline. It was a Greek name. I'm not sure if Greek people is allowed to have nicknames, like me. I have like 5 nicknames. "Evangeline! Nice to see you again. My question is, is Greek people allowed to have nicknames?" I wanted to know, because I wanted to call her Evan or Geline. "Nicknames in particular served as means of distinguishing individuals within any society. The names of the ancient Greeks had originally resembled nicknames as much as possible. So, I think I make the nicknames. Sorry." I sighed. "I wanted to call you Evan. I'm not sure if I'll memorize the name Evangeline." Evangeline chuckled. "A lot of people say that, you can call me Evan." I smiled. "That's the name I wanted to call you!" Evangeline seemed like a good friend. "Evan, do you want to be friends?" Evan laughed. "I wanted to ask the same thing!"

Evan told me more things about Greek people. Instead of Greek people, they call themselves, Hellenes. (In Greek that's Έλληνες) The word Greek from Latin "Graeci" Hellenes also speak Greek and mostly English. I was wondering what my name meant, so I asked Evan. "Evan, what does my name in Greek mean?" She looked at me, in wonder. "Your name means, Christian. And anointed. Basically, the follower of Christ." I was shocked. "Wow! I never knew that my name was meaning that in Greek. How do pronounce my name in Greek?" She looked at me, thinking deeply. "Your name is pronounced like this, Χριστίνα." I was more shocked. "Wow! My name starts with an X?! Evan, your really cool as a friend." I hugged her. I had a friend, and my day just changed. I learned a little Greek, and I made a friend named Evangeline, or Evan.
