I woke up the next morning feeling excited. Today is my first day of classes! I can't wait to get my timetable.
I sit up in bed and rub my eyes. I open them, and realize I'm not alone. Three girls stood in front of a mirror combing their hair. They must be my room mates! I had gone to bed too early to meet any of them last night.
I stand up and begin walking over to them. They all notice me, and immediately smile and introduce themselves.
One of the girls who introduced herself as Adelaide Larinch was about 5'3 with blonde hair and grey eyes. She was very kind.
The next girl I met was named Liz Tremaine. She was about 5'5 (the tallest of all of us) and had dark hair like mine. She had dark eyes. She had a bit of a bitch-face, but she was super sweet. It's just her facial expression, yanno?
The last girl I met was named Nicole Swindlewood. She was the same height as me, had blue/grey eyes, and her hair was light brown and was half shaved. She actually really worked that look! She was the sweetest of them all.
I introduced myself to them, and then we all went our separate ways to get ready for the day.
I started by getting a shower. After I finished, I got out, and put my hair up with a towel. I put on my uniform, which consisted of a blouse with the Ravenclaw crest, a grey skirt, black knee-highs, black shoes, a Ravenclaw tie, and my Ravenclaw robes. I then let my hair down, and cast a drying spell on it so it wouldn't still be damp.
I then put on my makeup, which was just a bit of foundation, powder, eyeliner, mascara, and a light lipgloss. Nothing too extreme.
After I was satisfied with how I looked, I set off for the great hall. It is quite a walking distance from the Ravenclaw tower to the Great Hall, but I survive. I finally made it, and as soon as I sat down I could feel someone's stare on me. I searched around, until I finally met the gaze of the eyes I have come to recognize. Tom Riddle was staring at me.
We just continued to stare at each other, neither of us making an effort to stop. I began to realize how weird this was, so I coughed and looked down. When I glanced back up, he was chuckling. I seriously don't get him.
I then noticed he was sitting all by himself. There was plenty of guys at the Slytherin table that he could be sitting with... I wonder why.
I grew more curious about who Tom Riddle was, so I decided to ask one of my new friends.
I tapped Nicole on the shoulder. "Hey, do you happen to know anything about Tom Riddle?" I inquired as I nodded my head in his direction.
She immediately scowled. "Tom Riddle is the biggest git I can name. He's in our year, and he's the smartest boy. He's egocentric, though, so he doesn't have any friends because honestly, nobody can tolerate him. He's rude and moody. Anyways, he only befriends the teachers, and he thinks he's too good for anyone else. He hates muggle-borns and blood traitors. Heard enough, or would you like to know more?" She smirked.
I simply chuckled, but I was trying to hide my disappointment. Here, I thought he was such a kind, well-mannered guy, but in reality he just sounds like an ass. I was actually hoping that I could have a good friendship with him, but I honestly can't tolerate those who are biased against muggle borns. I mean, it's not their fault!
"I've heard that he's used a few unforgivables from time to time. Terrible, really." Liz chimed in.
Wow. He could be sent to Azkaban for that! He's so young to be doing that too. I will not get into contact with him. He screams danger and I don't need to get myself involved with bad influences.
