The leader of the Shinigami. Marine Is a proud, yet bossy member that will find his own ways to figure out a solution, with or without violence, whenever It works or not regardless. Before he started the team, Marine started his training with his Mother, who was a famous rescue explorer. One day, however, a crazy outlaw attacked his home and destroyed It. He managed to get out of his home, but his parents were trapped In the Inside and are unable to escape. After that day before, he hasn't seen them and believes that they died In the fire ever since. Being bitter to avenge them, Marine started his own exploration team along with his teacher Yonathan and named It "Team Shinigami" after his Father's Clan name "キツネ・ノーモア."

During a mission that Involves with himself, Including his teammates, they make their way Inside a cave filled with Luxio and Luxrays. As they go In further, they spot Marine's Father, Denarii and he was being fed to many of the Luxio as a spot for electricals. This anger him, and thus, he and his team, along with a few or more other allies, commenced and getting ready their attacks on the Queen Luxray and her servants. Before he was able to rescue his Father, the Queen stabbed her claw right Into Denarii's chest, presuming killing him. Being filled with so much anger, he evolved Into a Mega Absol and makes a threat to kill the Luxray Queen himself. However, he was stopped by Kasmaru's Mother, as killing her won't bring Denarii back. Thus, they defeated the Queen and she was arrested for charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. After what seemed to be all hope was lost, a Luxio by the name of Haiku came by to aid the wounded Shiny Sylveon. She gave out a lot of electrical energy that was on her, and healed the Shiny Sylveon back to health. Marine was thankful for her aid, and thus, he reunites with his long lost Father. Next, Marine and his teammates participate In a tournament called "Tokyo Academy's Ace Tournament" to see If they can find any answers of his Mother's whereabouts. After the tournament ended, Team Kai (Kai's team) makes It to the entrance of who's behind this tournament. Upon entering, they find Marine's Mother, Jan, under the control of Shion. They easily defected the Luxray and she was brought back to her senses, thanks from the help of Rio. Now, with his parents reunited, Marine has become less strict with his rules, and has mellowed out with his team tremendously.
