TW -

Dave looks around the darkness around him, an endless void, small eyes peering at him from the walls. A loud hum came from the darkness almost calling out to Dave to follow the sound. He starts walking as if by instinct towards the noise, the eyes following his steps. As he stepped forward just below his eyes began to burn, a light pink colour enveloping his vision as he continued to step into the darkness. Dave trips and falls to the ground.

Dave jolts awake standing in the safe room, he looks around trying to work out how he got there. He exits the room and looks around the corner to see the sun rising just outside, creeping over the horizon and plastering the walls with warm golden light. Henry had always let Dave sleep at Fredbears because he didn't want him to wander off or get taken by Freddys as their competitor grew. Dave missed that feeling of seeing the sunrise at Fredbears with Henry, he'd always sit up and watch it with him before they'd set up for the day.

Matt walked through the door filling the room with his vibes. Dave ducked back around the corner to avoid making eye contact with Matt.

"Why is he here so early?" Dave asked himself quietly.

"David are you in here?" Matt asked.

"GAh- Don't call me that Matt." Dave walked out from behind the corner to face Matt. "How'd you know I was here?"

"You're always here." Matt said in a monotone almost robotic voice with a matching smile that made everyone uncomfortable. "You're here more than Mr Cawthon."

"I'm going to leave now Matt." Dave turned away from him to face the doors.

"Ah ok, David." Matt made his way to the prize corner to start organizing through his planner. Dave walked quickly out of the building, slamming the glass doors behind him now acting as a safeguard between him and Matt. He thought he killed Matt with Jack years ago but coming back to life wasn't unheard of especially at Freddys, Matt was already a chaotic entity so it wasn't impossible.

'Focus Dave.' He told himself clearing his mind. Dave walked around to the back of the building again to the dumpsters, he rummaged through the garbage until he found exactly what he was looking for, a wrench and a lighter.

"Willy..." Henry's voice seemed to be becoming from inside his mind as the two small burns began to glow lightly.

"H-Henry? Where are you?" Dave looked around trying to find where the voice was coming from.

"STOP." Henry commanded causing Dave to drop the wrench and lighter back into the trash and stand still. "Now if you're done looking through the garbage I need you to help me with something William." Henry spoke more coldly than he normally would as if I was running out of patience to be nice to Dave anymore.

"Anything for you Henry!" Dave smiled happily. "Oh, Henry lemme tell ya about what I've been doing it's this really groovy plan where-" Dave gestures about as he speaks.

"Yes, yes that sounds very interesting Willy but I need you to stay focused." Henry cuts him off in that same cold tone. Dave slumps his arms back to his sides, defeated. "I need you to walk out into the woods into the clearing, out there is a small metal trapdoor."

"I SAW THAT LAST NIGHT! IT WAS ALL RUSTED SHUT!" Dave excitedly shouts, waving his arm about almost drawing attention to himself.

"You don't have to shout William, I CAN hear you regardless!" Henry appears annoyed already by Dave.

"o-ok henry..." Dave whimpers quietly as he looks down at the dark grey concrete below his old scuffed shoes. The door leading inside suddenly jolts open causing Dave to jump back in surprise and the soft pink glow from just beneath his eyes to vanish just as quickly as it had appeared.

"Uhhh, e-employee why are you shouting to yourself out here...?" David stood in the doorway looking confused.

"Why is everyone here so early?!" Dave stepped up to him.

"Well I n-never left, Harry wasn't there to d-drive me back to h-his p-place where I've been living. I s-slept in the a-arcade last night, or w-what's left of it anyw-ways." David spoke as Dave walked past him.

"Get yourself a new voice box, that stuttery thing is fucking annoying phoneface." Dave walks back into the main area of the restaurant to see Matt standing behind the prize corner expectantly staring ahead towards the stage. The animatronics were standing slumped, their smell only just reaching the other side of the room. The rancid stench of decay and death radiating from the animatronics, Dave smiled. His plan was working so far.
